REALITY TV STAR REPORTEDLY EYES MAJOR MEDIA BUY …
By FITSNews || Lowcountry businessman Thomas Ravenel – an independent petition candidate running for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by “Republican” Lindsey Graham – is reportedly preparing to make a major media buy in his race.
Sources familiar with Ravenel’s plans tell FITS the reality television star – who once vowed to match Graham “dollar for dollar” – is looking at a media buy in the neighborhood of $1 million for the final two weeks of his campaign. That’s well below the amount some Graham allies were expecting Ravenel to inject into the race … especially after he sold his 5,600-square foot downtown Charleston, S.C. home for $3.3 million six months ago.
“We expected to see that money by now,” one Graham aide told FITS.
Instead Ravenel has spent only around $125,000 on television – and with less than forty days remaining until Election Day, his window to make a real impact on the race is rapidly closing. More to the point, Ravenel had better reserve his air time soon because we’re fast approaching the point in this election when all the television space is going to be spoken for …
In addition to Ravenel and Graham, Democrat Brad Hutto and Libertarian Victor Kocher are also running for the seat Graham has held since 2003.

That he was sorry for using and distributing cocaine after seeking and accepting a constitutional post (until he changed his story and went public with the drug legalization philosophy he carefully hid to get elected).
That he was innocent and not drunk attendant to his NY problem (until he snuck back up to plead guilty).
That we should close most of our “227 military bases in Germany” (until he realized that he had misread his intergoogle research and was essentially clueless in military and foreign affairs- there are fewer than two dozen bases in Germany. His number included everything from antenna sites to corner mailboxes).

Anyhow, you get my drift. We don’t have to take much this clown says seriously. Most folks knew he wasn’t going to raise any cash, and he certainly wouldn’t spend the millions that the LG campaign has (and will). I doubt he’ll even spend the million, and that’s not “mad cash” in a US Senate race even if he does. That’s chump change.
Excellent takedown. This always has been about drumming up ratings for his reality show, nothing more and nothing less. He will drop enough money to give him more name recognition, and that is it.

Is this ‘mad cash’ going to bring him better publicity and votes the way the conventional cash he spent hasn’t? I’d put up a couple of Billboards on the major interstates around Charleston – slamming Graham being a war monger and a illegal alien advocate – and that Graham has been a set back for SC’s economy and lack of jobs and poverty. More people see flashy billboards than a tv ad. TV ads are old fashion …. with so many channels and then the internet, who might would see them. Billboards are one of the most effective ways to advertise.
If South Carolina US Senator Tim Scott (R) will NOT endorse Miss Lindsey, that speaks volumes by sending a strong message of dislike for his politics. And rightfully so. Well informed voters know Graham is f–ked up. Call me a bigot to my face because I like the majority of the country is against amnesty for illegal aliens, I don’t care who you are or about the law, I will have your ass on the ground in a split second!
