GEORGE ROGERS, CONNOR SHAW HEADLINE ATTORNEY GENERAL’S FUNDRAISER
S.C. Attorney General Alan Wilson is hosting his third annual “Gamecock Tailgate” this Friday evening near Williams-Brice Stadium. The event will feature several former Gamecock stars including 1980 Heisman Trophy winner George Rogers and Connor Shaw – the winningest quarterback in school history who guided the Gamecocks to three straight Top Ten finishes from 2011-13.
Also appearing will be Gamecock greats Moe Brown, Sheldon Brown, Andre Goodman and Mike Hold, among others.
Hold was South Carolina’s quarterback during the 1984 “Black Magic” season – in which the Gamecocks won ten games for the first time in school history.
Wilson’s event will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 26 at the Carolina Field House – located at 941 South Stadium Road in Columbia, S.C. Tickets are $35 per person or $50 per couple. To RSVP, email RSVP@WilsonforAG.com.
