This is a turning point in the war in terror. We’re fighting a terrorist army, not an organization. It’s going to take an army to beat an army.
I will not let this president suggest to the American people we can outsource our security and this is not about our safety. There is no way in hell you can form an army on the ground to go into Syria, to destroy ISIL without a substantial American component.
I’m tired of hearing from this administration and my friends on the other side and within my party, that this is somehow easy and really not our fight. Name one Arab army you could put together anytime soon to deal with a terrorist army of over 30,000 without a substantial American commitment. Not the 82nd Airborne, but intelligence, Special Forces, to go in there and dig these guys out. I am tired of hearing from this administration how easy this is going to be, when it’s going to be hard and the consequences of losing my friend, is if they survive our best shot, this is the last best chance, to knock him out, then they will open the gates of hell to spill out on the world. This is not a Sunni versus Sunni problem, this is ISIL versus mankind.
Does anyone here believe that we don’t a have a few of the “special” folks LG mentioned on the ground in Syria now? Just curious…
You notice that fits removed the “raising the house photo” then removed the whole article. I’ve never know of fits to do that before.

Wow… the TR campaign implosion continues to pick up speed. It’s almost like that horrible old footage of our B-17’s getting shot down over Germany. I’ve caught several articles that disappeared but then reappeared. I think one of them was sent straight to archives . And you have to guess which category an article has been cataloged (see links at top and bottom of page and in archives).

I was always quite partial to that old classic, black, at least during night time festivities. During the day, my fashion-forward “posse” wore chic earth tones and local headdress in an effort to be just fashionable enough to not be overly noticeable until it was time to be noticed. Good fashion advice never goes out of style.
Graham need to go hook up with Jenny Sanford. They could both relieve their frustrations regarding their miserable pathetic lives. Grahams warmongering boots on the ground psycho babble will undoubtedly sink him even further – PERIOD.
Boots on the ground or not, we still have an ideoloque as CinC that has not and will not listen to his commanders.
You may have missed it. But, our Constitution mandates a civilian Commander in Chief to be in charge of our military.
Obama showed with the extensive, months long, discussions he had with the military in 2009 prior to his decision about what to do with the Afghanistan mess he was left with that he does indeed listen to commanders.
But, like George Bush, he is the “decider”. Not the whore mongering David Petraeus or the insubordinate Stanley McCrystal.
If you want the type of society where military commanders are in charge of foreign and domestic policy, you will need to go to one of those countries where the president or prime minister wears a uniform.
And, to call Obama an ideologue displays too much ignorance of the definition of the word to waste time on.
When I took the oath I fully understood the CinC was a civilian. And you are just as much an ideologue as the CinC as is evident by your statement of Petraeus and McCrystal.
Boots on the ground, eh? OK. I’m all for it. Let’s give Lindsey the first pair of boots.

Come on folks, its just another opportunity for Miss LIndsay to play with the soldiers away from mama’s eyes.
I think some may be a little hard on Graham. First, what does “boots on the ground mean?” Surely not brigade size deployments but special forces. And Obama has already deployed Special Forces to Syria on a rescue mission for the American hostages that was sent too late.
I’ll join in the pile on on Lindsay (I’m not a big fan of his but he is right from time to time and this is one such) when he demands a large troop commitment. Until then, this issue is too serious and too important for the sophomoric comments I read below.
