FEC Wants Answers From Lindsey Graham

DID SENATOR HIDE VENDORS? FAIL TO DISCLOSE LAST-MINUTE CONTRIBUTIONS?

The Federal Election Commission (FEC) has asked the campaign of incumbent “Republican” Lindsey Graham to explain multiple reporting problems on its latest campaign finance filing.  Among the problems?  Issues over improper payment for “contract labor” and “general consulting,” unexplained credit card expenses, questionable petty cash disbursements and failure to disclose “last-minute” campaign contributions.

In a letter sent to Graham’s campaign treasurer Thad Westbrook, the FEC says the organization failed to file “one or more 48-hour notices” of last-minute contributions – adding that “failure to file 48-hour notices may result in civil money penalties or legal enforcement action.”

Ruh-roh …

Westbrook, of course, is no stranger to shady dealings.  Nor is Graham.  In 2009, for example, FITS uncovered a not-so-thinly-veiled effort to funnel cash from left-leaning environmentalists into television advertisements supporting the liberal lawmaker – who was the only “Republican” in the entire U.S. Congress to support a cap-and-trade energy tax.

Is Graham once again looking to hide liberal money flowing into his coffers?

This isn’t the first time Team Graham has received such a notice from the FEC.  A warning issued in December 2013 chided Graham’s organization for failing to disclose vendors who were initially paid by campaign staffers.

Reimbursing campaign staffers for payments made to vendors and then “neglecting” to itemize these vendors on disclosure forms is one way campaigns attempt to hide who they do business with.  In fact the FEC is still investigating the 2012 presidential campaign of Newt Gingrich for employing such tactics.

Graham won the “Republican” nomination for a third term in the U.S. Senate back in June with 56 percent of the vote – although the vast majority of the electorate stayed at home.  Also, despite spending $5 million on his primary election – polling shows more South Carolinians disapprove of Graham’s performance than approve of it.

Graham is running against Democrat Brad Hutto, independent conservative Thomas Ravenel and Libertarian Victor Kocher.

If Tommy wins will South Carolina legalize cocaine? Eric Clapton playing at the election night celebration? Gold razor blades and platinum straws for the guests? I don’t know much about politics but if a guy is for drugs, partying, having illegitimate babies with girls half his age, DUDE, he should make a GREAT SIN-A-Tor.

Lindsey’s party should be more fun. F-35’s for all the guests, ISIS and Taliban members as honored guests of him and his sugar daddy, John McCain, thousands of illegal aliens serving the guests, and more. What’s not to like?

It’s like the Rick Perry circus in Texas. What Liberals cannot win w/ the ballot, they’ll try to prosecute themselves a victory w/ corrupt legal-industry accomplices…

Didn’t y’all try to prosecute Scott walker and Tom Delay, only to get the P!$$ slapped out of you by the courts…

If I were Graham, I’d pull an Obama, and tell them to Kiss My @$$..Obama is Guilty as H#!! and gets away with it…regardless if you like Graham or not, any Republican being investigated while Obama is in DC, – and Reid is Senate Kingpin – is likely victim of a Kangaroo Court….

I’m happy for the happy couple (TR and Will). They’ll try to milk this thing, although Joe Sixpack voter can’t even spell FEC, and has less interest in this kind of stuff than he does catching up on the last few episodes of Myrtle Manor on Netflix. That will undoubtedly result in about zero traction / poll movement. Of course, there’s also that pesky “Pot…meet Kettle” thing since (if memory serves) ol’ TR ran afoul of the FEC as well and had to for over some cash (which LG hasn’t had to do on this yet). He can’t jump up and down about this, which is why he has FITS doing the heavy lifting (unlike most of his other first-person LG bashing). Nothing to see here, folks…keep moving.

I get so many bad vibes about Graham anymore. Especially since he called everybody in South Carolina who does not support amnesty, “Bigots” while at a LaRaza meeting.
What does he do with all of his money? We are paying him over $3000.00 a week. Where does he spend it? What does he do in his “off” time? Doesn’t he have any hobbies at all? The house he owns is not worth all that much, and it is paid for.
What has he done for South Carolina to make it a better place? What has he done for YOU?
If he has done anything to help SC, I can’t tell! And don’t tell me about Ravenel’s drug conviction. That is so f-king old and like beating a dead horse.

Nine (9) SC counties thus far (last I checked) have CENSURED this war monger. Two of them are the largest in the entire state.

Not counties, friend; those were county political parties. Huge difference. Local parties are run by activists and true believers, and those executive committees are not at all representative of the entire electorate (even within that party). That said, even some of those votes were close. If the “groundswell” was all that the criers had promised, LG wouldn’t have made it through the primary, and certainly wouldn’t have beaten back the entire field without a runoff.

How can a Gen Y (1980-2000) not like Lindsey Graham? He voted to put two flaming homo’s on the Supreme Court. He is a social liberal and a fiscal train wreck, all Millennial traits. Oh, he is a corporatist. Corporatism to a millennial is system of social organization that has at its base the grouping of men according to the community of their natural interests and social functions, and as true and proper organs of the state they direct and coordinate labor and capital in matters of common interest. Gee, sounds like the Hookup Generation’s definition of homosexuality. Millennials are anal copulations gone awry. They do it and that is their calling card. They approve of same-sex marriage. So does Lindsey. Millennials are pluralistic. Think two or three or many alternative explanations for any belief or phenomena. It is like nailing jello to the wall getting millennials to understand they are dualistic to a fault. How can you be a pluralist and a duelist at the same time? Easy, millennials think everything is to be used up then thrown away…over and over and over. Millennials are the first generation to grow up after the Cold War between Liberty and Totalitarianism. How did they handle that? Think Ferguson, MO. Those were millennials in their true form. They as Lindsey channel their inner sexual deviancies now that Communism is dead. Millennials worship themselves. So does Lindsey. Millennials sponge off what is here and now never building for the future. So does Lindsey. All in all, The Hook up Generation is a political and societal train wreck, to not support Lindsey is really the first crack in their mojo. But why? Stay tuned…
