There’s a big scoop up on The Missouri Torch exposing the exploitation of the ongoing unrest in Ferguson, Missouri.
“Opportunistic radical groups from across the country are flocking to Ferguson, Missouri to take advantage of the death of Michael Brown, a young black male shot by local police,” the outlet reports.
According to the Torch , the rioting, looting and protesting in America’s heartland is being egged on by – among others – communists. In fact the outlet has posted video and photos of an individual by the name of Greg “Joey” Johnson, a member of the Revolutionary Communist Party USA who has been in Ferguson dialing up the violence.
In fact, the party’s official mouthpiece has been expressly urging protesters to ignore pleas for calm.
“This is no time to ‘calm down,'” the party’s official website states. “It is time to step up the struggle.”
“Fight the power!” the website adds.

So to recap, we’ve got communist agitators on the ground in Missouri … fighting against a militarized police state (subsidized with fiat money) that seeks to suppress individual liberty and prosperity at every turn.

Now there are more than a dozen eye witnesses that have corroborated Officer Darren Wilson’s version of the way the shooting took place. This is not about seeking justice for a defenseless, unarmed gentle giant of a “teenager”. It’s about getting a new pair of sneakers, taking out some frustration because they’re pissed at the man for not paying them more for the shitty service they render at the local McBurger joint and otherwise chimping out like they’re a part of a zoo exhibit gone wrong.

Saw a story that “protestors” were trying to access the police headquarters in St. Louis last night and that stores in surrounding neighborhoods (local to Ferguson) were being attacked. This has nothing to do with Mike Brown anymore, now it’s about what can they get away with, who can they hurt.

The media doesn’t care about Chicago or wherever else because murders in Chicago/elsewhere are commonplace, and it is hard to sensationalize something that is commonplace.
This is a potential case of police brutality (key word being potential) that has conflicting witness testimonies and other oddities. Add the protests, the rioting/looting, the overly-militarized police, the journalist being arrested, the way the police is releasing some information but withholding other bits, the fact that an independent autopsy had to be done just to figure out how many times the guy was shot…

I just read where the Washington Redskins came onto the field with their hands up to honor Mike Brown. CNN is saying that the cops are causing the riots by being present.
We now live in a world where criminals are celebrated by wealthy athletes and police are criticized for not protecting communities and for over-protecting communities.
The best question that I think sums it all up is why can they not simply protest during the day and go home and rest at night? Unfortunately the answer would be practical and logical and too many Americans reject those principles. There is a growing element in this country that is pushing us towards a race war and it’s not the police or the people who pay for the majority of NFL tickets.

To put what happened in Ferguson in proper context, we need to understand how police officers are trained. The overwhelming majority of police departments in the United States train their officers in what is referred to as “continuum of force,” which views confrontations with the public as a series of stages.

Researchers have shown that under the stress of a deadly force encounter, a series of physiological changes occur. Visual perception becomes seriously impaired: Up to 70% of the peripheral vision is affected. This visual impairment often creates an inability to assess how many shots are needed and if indeed the suspect has been incapacitated to the point of posing no more threat to the police officer or others.
They are trained as soldiers and expected to perform as social workers at least 90% of the time. And then in a split of a second, they have to be soldiers again. It’s quite a trick.
