NEA, SCEA SUPPORT DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE FOR US SENATE
Remember the NEA? They’re the government-run education union that exists for the sole purpose of buying politicians to advance their far left agenda.
As a union, the NEA exists to serve the interests of its national membership by amassing political power, not helping the students enrolled in public schools. Don’t believe us? Just ask them …
“It is not because we care about children, it is not because we have a vision of a great public school for every child,” one of the group’s executives recently said. “NEA and its affiliates are effective advocates because we have power.”
Anyway, the NEA sends hundreds of thousands of dollars to South Carolina each year to support the S.C. Education Association (SCEA), which then doles out cash to politicians supportive of its liberal policies.
Not surprisingly, both groups have endorsed the candidacy of S.C. Sen. Brad Hutto (D-Orangeburg) in his bid for the U.S. Senate.
“Brad Hutto shares our values and the values of the working families of South Carolina,” NEA President Dennis Van Roekel said in a statement. “If elected, Brad will put students and educators ahead of partisan politics, because he understands that the road to economic prosperity and security starts in the Palmetto State’s public schools. He will staunchly advocate for South Carolina families and, if elected, he will work hard to make the economy work for all of us.”
Huh?
We would argue – with evidence to support our position (HERE and HERE) – that support for South Carolina’s government-run education system is not advocating for families. Or for a better economy.
In fact we would argue – again, with evidence – that our state’s increasingly costly, one-size-fits-all government-run system is actually holding our families and our economy back.
Like … a lot.
Hutto is running against liberal “Republican” Lindsey Graham, independent conservative Thomas Ravenel and Libertarian Victor Kocher for the Senate seat held by Graham since 2003.

And there’s the next nail in the coffin…
If this guy wasn’t an ambulance chasing DUI lawyer who looked like a child molester, I would feel better about voting for him. But given Pansy Graham, Douchebag McGee and the Libertarian dude (or maybe he is a “LiberalTarian” – does anyone have a link to that hard-hitting blog run by Mr. Tango so I can run this by him?) are his opponents, I guess I’ll hold my nose again this November.
Brad Hutto is a fucking idiot. That said, I would rather see him go in than Lindsey for the next six. Out of the current running, I would prefer that T-Rav be the winner.
Hutto is wasting his time.
WOW. Graham, Hutto, and Kocher. A coke head, baby daddy, felon is starting to look better and better. Compared to these turds –uh birds of a feather, T Rav looks like a real statesman. If T Rav will get off some serious money he can have the senate seat. TV and radio ads telling about his views and principles will go over pretty good against these others. They have neither.
Ravenel hasnt a prayer.Your post is laughable.
Graham will win in a walk.
Graham is going to be reamed a new butthole. Get use to it.
An endorsement from the NEA is the equivalent of an endorsement from Planned Parenthood in a (R) state. Political suicide.
Hutto would have been better off getting an endorsement from ISIS.
True that. The idiots who vote for Graham won’t let his love affair with McCain/ISIS slow them down. If ISIS had endorsed Hutto, it would have left them really confused.
I support my loyal servant, Brad Hutto.
The NEA is “government-run”? No wonder you have zero credibility.
