Even if he did, good for him…he’s feeding the needy.
Agreed as long as the costs were reasonable. However there is always the chance that each of these hot dog dinners could cost $50 each paid by the foundation back to his business.
I can’t really figure Finley.
A bit of privileged Dubya with the silver-spoon arrogant “us” viewpoint, a big bit of successful honest businessman and farmer, one accusation of untoward business conniving (Cedar Terrace contamination site), and a fair bit of seeming common sense and decency.
Some people run their mouths about Kirkman and resent his success (and good fortune), but its hard to negative about good old fashioned charity.
Kirk: to hell with city of cola, you should run for governor. Give ’em hell.
He sure didn’t give a damn about city employees when he was on council -he spent most of his time there trying to run them onto public assistance. He’s just looking for votes.
Half the city bureaucracy are idiots and useless as tits on a hog.

Finley probably realizes that no sane black person would vote for a Republican in general–they know who hates them–but they might consider a specific Republican they liked. Smart move if so. But all this may just be a decent thing to do. It can happen, you know.
