Then there is the Slimehouse family of which old Chipper occasionally has some worthless proposed law, ostensibly to protect us from the sex offenders of the world, while his relative over here in the midlands gets a pass from the Sheriff’s office in his home county for things which should have had him in prison for a long time.
Back in the 70’s, I worked with a guy who was a Korean and Vietnam Veteran. He told me about a doctrine that a lot of them operated by (the correct phrase escapes me) which was something along the lines of, “take what they tell you and go with the opposite”. That meant if you were talking to a farmer in an area known to be sympathetic to the enemy and they told you they saw enemy soldiers going “that direction”, you went in the opposite direction to hunt down the enemy soldiers. It seems that may be a good way to figure out what your politicians are “really” trying to say.

Several of the McMaster boys are pretty normal and actually pretty good guys. Most families have one or two nut cases. George is their nut case. Well, and maybe Joe, but Frank is cool and a lot of fun. The rest are okay and within the first standard deviation of normal.
The description of Bakari Sellars as a moderate is a dead giveaway. I agree with your take on the McMasters “boys.” Will is a really good fellow. Frank seems like a good enough guy. I wasn’t impressed with my dealings with Joe, but that was many years ago. Everybody in town has long either known or suspected that George is “different” (to use the “proper” expression from my parents’ generation).
Henry is kind of a Foghorn Leghorn. But I’m not sure why George’s peccadillo’s should reflect on Henry one way or the other.

I have known George McMaster for over 20 years. He is probably the most eccentric person I have ever met. I can certainly guarantee there were no sexual overtones nor malice with these actions; if, in fact, the allegations are even true.
