ARE BORDER SURGE REFUGEES COMING TO A TOWN NEAR YOU?

Child immigrants fleeing Mexico’s drug war en masse  are not destined for the Palmetto State … or so the federal government tells S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley.

In a letter to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Haley said she was relieved to learn South Carolina would not be used as a “mass shelter.”

Of course those assurance did nothing to dampen widespread uncertainty and anger stemming from the federal government’s efforts to find temporary accommodations for the border refugees.

“I heard about 200 of them were coming to Anderson,” one resident of Belton, S.C. told FITS. “Don’t think I won’t stand in the road blocking them.  Nobody wants them and their diseases here.  I’m pissed.”

FITS was unable to confirm one widely circulated rumor that immigrant children would be temporarily housed at the U.S. National Guard Armory in Anderson, S.C.

Meanwhile on the website of Americans for Legal Immigration (ALI), a page created to rally protesters warned of a “suspected illegal alien transfer point with buses and (Department of Homeland Security) vans” located in Greenville County, S.C.

Wow …

The surge of child immigrants has prompted protests across the country – as well as calls from liberal Pope Francis for the immigrant children to be “welcomed and protected.”

Francis also condemned the “racist and xenophobic attitudes” of those refusing to welcome the immigrants.

Last year nearly 40,000 unaccompanied minors were apprehended by the U.S. Border Patrol.  That’s up 59 percent from 2012 and 142 percent from 2011.  This year?  The total is expected to pass 75,000.  And remember, those are just the kids who were apprehended … no one knows how many evaded detection.  Or didn’t survive the trip.

According to the government, the cost associated with housing these immigrant children runs as much as $1,000 a day.

Wait … what?  It costs $1,000 a day to house an immigrant child from Mexico?

That sounds like government math to us … or perhaps it’s just what happens when former bureaucrats get hooked up with sweet contracts for immigrant children to stay at posh facilities like this.

This website has never breathed a whole lot of fire on the immigration issue, but if you’re interested in our latest thoughts CLICK HERE.

actually not interested in your thoughts on the subject since you appear to be making them out of bullshit and other people’s bullshit. no need to go past the ridiculous line “Mexico’s drug war”. these kids ‘fled’ all the way through Mexico. or are you one of those yanks who thinks everything south of texas is mexico?

Fleeing the drug war–although the intelligence report yesterday CLEARLY put the onus on the Dream Act suspension of deportations announced by the president as being THE reason these kids are coming from CENTRAL America.

The article in the Greenville news said that they are being dropped off on White Horse Rd in Greenville. News flash: there has been a Mexican bus service that disguises itself as a Church bus dropping off at a Mexican restaurant on White Horse Rd for 15 years. It is a weekly stop that usually drops about 20-25 off and picks up about the same number heading north.
If anything the Gubment has just elbowed in on an already illegal business that has routes all over the country. You may as well call it the underground railroad.

Oh man. This is bad. I thought I’d seen your most stupid day already with that whole T-Rav man-crush thing… but you don’t even have the crudest of grasps of the top news stories of the day. This really is a low point.. even for you.

This is the blogging equivalent of absent mindedly picking the boogers out of your nose, examining the giant crispy/wet glob on the end of your finger with studious intent and finally, with just a tiny hint of self-consciousness, nonchalantly slip it in your mouth, scrape it off on your upper teeth, lick your finger clean, rub your nose with the back of your hand and sniff the residual wetness from the edge of your nostril… never for a moment suspecting that you are behind a one way mirror, being viewed by complete strangers, invited to see the spectacle first hand.

The Child immigrants being processed by the are *not* fleeing Mexico’s drug war en masse. The William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2008, signed into law by George W. Bush, makes it nearly impossible to deport unaccompanied minors from Central America, not Mexico, dumbass!

sheesh… do I have to proofread *your* messages too?

We need to return the Statue of Liberty. Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
“Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!” cries she
With silent lips. “Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

All those folks who processed through Ellis Island did so under the Page Act of 1875. When immigration got out of control in the 1920s we basically shut down all immigration with the Immigration Act and the Emergency Quota Act for forty years. Liberals forced through a series of acts in the sixties that eliminated the very strict quota systems.

Until 1918, the United States did not require passports; the term “illegal immigrant” had no meaning. New arrivals were required only to prove their identity and find a relative or friend who could vouch for them.

Customs agents kept an eye out for lunatics and the infirm (and after 1905, for anarchists). Ninety-eight percent of the immigrants who arrived at Ellis Island were admitted to the United States, and 78 percent spent less than eight hours on the island. (The Mexico-United States border then was unguarded and freely crossed in either direction.) “Shipping companies did the health inspections in Europe because they didn’t want to be stuck taking someone back,” said Nancy Foner, a sociology professor at Hunter College and author of “From Ellis Island to JFK: New York’s Two Great Waves of Immigration.” “Eventually they introduced a literacy test,” she added, “but it was in the immigrant’s own language, not English.”

When Congress enacted immigration quotas in the 1920s, it left the door ajar for Northern Europeans and Mexicans, whom even then American businesses sought as cheap labor. By contrast, in 1882 Congress enacted the Chinese Exclusion Act, barring the Chinese from U.S. shores. And when Congress contemplated a similar law for the Japanese, the government in Tokyo instead entered into an agreement with the United States to prohibit immigration and avoid international humiliation.

The majority of Irish immigrants came through Ellis Island a 120 years ago. What papers of legality did Irish come with? They all came to Ellis Island like many other American immigrants and were processed ON American soil, not before getting here.

*side note for suthnus: “…the authors of the Constitution protected the foreign slave trade, a major source of immigration, by prohibiting interference with it for twenty years (Article 1, Section 9). When that period expired, Congress, at President Jefferson’s invitation, promptly made that trade illegal, but did not interfere with either the domestic slave trade or slavery itself. The approximately 50,000 slaves entering the United States after 1808 became the first illegal immigrants.

Yea, well when the Antipope Francis defrocks all homosexual clergy in the Vatican and in the Latin Rite, then he gets street cred. The problem of families fleeing Honduras started when Sec of State Clinton supported the scum that took over the Honduran Government in 2009. That scum stole the nations wealth and resources ushering in bone crushing poverty. Coupled with this poverty, MS-13 took hold and is forcing juveniles into their transnational criminal organization. Can you blame them for coming to the US somehow assured acceptance by Our Homosexual w/o Briefs and his Tranny live in lover, Michelle? House them in public schools. They can sleep in classrooms, have bathrooms, a cafeteria etc. National security is at stake flooding our military installations with illegals…unless this is one desired outcome.

The illegal children immigrants are, surprise, being deported back to Honduras. There was a military coup in Honduras in 2009. Clinton and Obama abandoned the Democratically elected government. International reaction to the 2009 Honduran coup d’état was marked by widespread condemnation of the events. The United Nations, the Organization of American States (OAS), and the European Union condemned the removal of Zelaya as a military coup. On 5 July, the OAS, invoking for the first time Article 21 of the Inter-American Democratic Charter voted by acclamation of all member states to suspend Honduras from the organization. Sec State Clinton failed her first test. This crisis could have been avoided. You, as usual, are a nitwit.

No need to make shit up.

Wolf Blitzer did his best to pin Ron Paul down on a health care question where a 30-year old uninsured person had six months to live. After getting a bit of a runaround, Blitzer flatly asked Ron Paul whether that person should simply be left to die.

Before Paul could answer, the audience did, with cheers of “Yeah!” and applause. If anything comes of these debates, let it be this: Conservatives really believe people should be left to die with no intervention. Ron Paul answered the question after the audience cheered with an answer about churches taking care of their own.

PAUL: No. I practiced medicine before we had Medicaid, in the early 1960s, when I got out of medical school. I practiced at Santa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio, and the churches took care of them. We never turned anybody away from the hospitals.

(APPLAUSE)

It is obvious that today’s Americans are not going to outwork or out-study the rest of the world. So it’s just as well that we can still attract and draw those who want to give great effort to succeed. Those who against adversity show up at (or past) our door have already been preselected for adeptness.

The quiet industry of la Raza is existential proof of the inferiority of the white man. Fear of objective humiliation, ironically, results from being passed over as a sexual partner – genetic inferiority in natural selection. For what comely Southern Belle would choose a weak, listless, dissipating, anemic, pasty-white cubical bunny in sight of strong, healthy males?
