TWITTER BONANZA PUTS TWENTY-ONE LAWMAKERS ON THE HOT SEAT …
A Palmetto political operative grieving over his dead grandmother posted a flood of tweets this week implicating numerous South Carolina lawmakers in a variety of unlawful activities.
Among those named? S.C. Rep. Kenneth Hodges (D-S.C.) – who was found guilty of torturing an animal in 2005 (he paid a fine after a bench trial). A pair of other lawmakers – S.C. Sen. Floyd Nicholson (D-Greenwood) and State Rep. Samuel Rivers (R-Goose Creek) – were implicated in assault cases, although the charge against Nicholson was later dismissed.
John Osborne – a bare-knuckle political operative who has been linked to both Democratic and “Republican” candidates in the past – tweeted out charges filed against twenty-one lawmakers shortly after his grandmother passed away on Thursday evening.
“That was for my Grandmother who always wanted me to do something right,” Osborne wrote shortly after his social media docu-drop, copying reporters at FITSNews, The (Columbia, S.C.) State newspaper and The (Charleston, S.C.) Post and Courier .
Some of Osborne’s tweets referenced stories previously covered by this website – including the serious tax issues revolving around S.C. Sen. Karl Allen (D-Greenville) or the disastrous personal financial history of S.C. Sen. Lee Bright (R-Spartanburg).
Others were news to us …
Here, in all it’s glory, is Osborne’s spleen-venting …

Tax liens aren’t that big of a deal.
I’ve heard people rationalize genital piercings and face tattoos the same way.
Tax liens are fine…as long as you don’t run for any public office where you have input on any kind of budget that deals with other people’s money.
you continue to display your immaturity. If you fail to file one form when you close a business the DR will file a lien against your home. Many young business people who do not have the luxury of paid advisors get the little letter, go down to their office, fill out the form, the nice lady tells you that it’s no big deal, and you pay the fee to close the business. The lien goes away and that is that. Unfortunately it remains on the public record. To boil it down for you, if you get caught peeing behind your car at a ballgame in the dark of night you will end up on the same list with a three time child rapist. Intent and circumstances make a big difference and to judge a tax lien without the merits of the case is malicious. You have repeatedly proven yourself to be a knucklehead on this forum and I think that you are Big T or his little brother.
People like him rarely have had their own small business or done anything outside of having a job/working for someone else. His opinion is born from ignorance and a love for the cold state.
!?
I was expecting better stuff than that thought I suspect his client list just got smaller
Seems kind of dumb to ruin your career to “expose” that a bunch of representatives owe property taxes- information that’s readily available by doing a tax search on any county website.
It’s almost unprecedented, in recent history for a Democrat Dirty Trick operative to come clean. Democrat politics is a RELIGION. Susan McDougall went to jail rather than talk. Monica went into exile, and Vince Foster killed himself, instead of outing the filthy rot of the Clintons…
Look at those listed here carefully, and tell me how many of these individuals are Democrats and how many are Republicans, and then get back to us and tell us which party has a monopoly on shady dealings. SC is no different from everywhere else, (although considering the constitutional officers elected by the Republicans in the last decade, they seem to presently be far ahead corruption-wise) For you to single out one party for criticism is just plain ignorance of the facts.
It’s what he lives for.
I’m still waiting for you to tell me how much Chris Rock Mon got in the “Cracker” Barrel settlement. You’re not lying about knowing her are you?
I bet you’d love for me to profile me on my SCPD. My best work is defining character and/or characters. Read about Sanford’s 5 year Anniversary if you want to see. Maybe I’ll give you a li’l shout out, if you can tell how much she got paid.
You tend to shy away from discussion about the real Emily Peterkin vs the fake one you created to throw people off the track of you true identity. Why is that?
You have greatly annoyed the real Julia Peterkin. I think she should sue you.
Delusional.
btw, I am encouraging the real Emily Peterkin to sue you for pretending to be her.
LMAO! No worries.Boz has always been in the business of getting people sued. Just ask Mark Kelley and TSN.
Didn’t Buz cost The idiots at The Sun News a lot of money, with a false claim.
I LMAO when Big Media lost in court, and Buz was P!$$#d, defending them after they got caught with a Buz-type lie about Kelley.
idiot.
Well, how much ?
Kinda hard to indict a democrat in office when none are fit to be elected.
Also: the Rs busted, are usually veiled democrats, using the R just to get in the office. That is the biggest challenge to the GOP, flushing out the poser Ds. Just look at FITS, he got into power w/ an R. And he ain’t nowhere near an R. But he is a lying Some Beech…
Back in the late eighties and early nineties , when Republicans were gaining ground in SC the type of Dim that would rather lie about where they stood than tell the truth and lose. The Graham, Beasley types “saw the light” and “renounced ” the Dim. party are todays “moderates”. They should be ousted from the Republican Party. But I am afraid they now control our once great Party.
RE: I share you disdain for the Graham-types.
But there are some successes because of Republicans,. The media does not play up when the GOP wins, because it will encourage you.
They want you dis-spirited, dwelling on the Lindsey Grahams, at his worse. That way you waste your vote on a 3rd party Liberal-Tarans, and the liberal sneaks into more power, and screws you even more:
Good read about GOP successes here: : http://scdigest.blogspot.com/2014/07/obama-democrats-dangerous-be-thankful.html
List the success for us ?
If only we had another 100 or so Trey Goudy’s in the house and 59 plus Tim Scott in the senate we could get something done. I met up with an old friend yesterday in Cola. He asked how I would like voting for Graham ? The only analogy that came to mind was licking a turd. Don’t know if I can do it. LOL
its rouges like you and the tea party that should be ousted from the GOP. Love Rep. Goudy’s and Sen. Scott but please show me one thing they have done in DC, besides like Deminted and vote no on everything(real progress there). I still scratch my head on why yall love Jim Deminted. Man did nothing for SC and like former State Senator “Tax Hike” Tommy Moore when the opportunity to jump ship for a payday he did. Real Reformer? Goudy got the Bengazi lead because of LOG.
So, your blaming the voters ?
SC is no different from everywhere else
——
The South Carolina you live in, doesn’t exist.
euwe max doesn’t exist.
well… that may be true… but *I* do.
I am unable to make any intelligent sense about this since you failed to provide the link to your blahhg site.
GWB started painting, your point ?
“‘That was for my Grandmother who always wanted me to do something right,’ Osborne wrote”
I would imagine she had something other than copying old headlines in mind, but maybe her standards were low.
I don’t think the tax liens are necessarily a big deal. I had a retail license for a flea market business I operated right out of high school. When I closed I didn’t know I had to close the license w/ DOR and I moved. About five years later I discovered that I had a multi-thousand dollar tax lien. All it took was me filing a form stating I had not in fact been in business and it was resolved in about a day (no fines, fees, penalties, nothing). But I think even to this day if someone looked me up it looks like I am a tax scofflaw.
Ditto, small claims and bankruptcy is not a crime either. Many of our founding fathers had financial difficulties. Will has a longer rap sheet than these guys. We now for sure none have had felonies in the last 15 years. Otherwise they could not hold a state office.
Who would know about felonies if the local press hardly ever, RHood2 excepted, checks local public records on candidates? And, what if they committed a crime in another county? If you check the Public Index at sccourts.org, you have to check county by county. Do they check the entire state one county at a time?
Do election commissions take fingerprints and do NCIC checks when someone files to run? Does some other entity check for felonies by candidates?
The mudslingers like John Osborne do opposition research.
Well, I think we’ve seen that IF it gets done, it usually doesn’t get done until after they already hold public office.
But, you really didn’t answer my question. Do felony records get checked before a candidate is certified to run for office? How do you know: “We know for sure none have had felonies in the last 15 years. Otherwise they could not hold a state office.”
Who checks?
In other words, it’s as simple to take care of as a fine to the SC Ethics Commission which are usually nothing to begin with, but the longer the idiots don’t respond the higher the fine goes.
What I have never been able to figure out is why they let the fines accrue to tens of thousands of dollars? Do they think they are seriously guilty of something and are terrified something horrible is going to happen?
Another thing I don’t understand is why the local media don’t ever check the Ethics Commission Debtors Page (if they had, Ken Ard would have probably been run off Florence County Council before he had the chance to run for Lt. Gov.) or these records.
It sure looks bad. David Weeks, a lawyer who has been in Sumter as long as I can remember has a lien of over
I used to work at non-daily newspapers, and we got to run the delinquent tax lists every year.
And we PORED over them, looking for stuff.
The Ethics Commission listings were spotty back when I did that, and not reliable. but we checked ’em too.
Hardly a scandal, one would assume, if this info is publicly available and tweeted out without any public outcry about it. Sincerely, I do not know what public good will come out of this, other than this being an election year. So the blessed grandmother may actually be talking about a lot more action than this on part of our good boy Osbourne. Being cynical of anything politics, some people could view Osbourne’s tactics as a move to improve his own visibility in an election year, exalt his own image, and certainly is a diversion from the more serious corruption our state legislators are engaging in.
Looking at this guy’s picture and his “occupation”, I expected him to be a tool. After reading this story, my expectations were exceeded.
just another BS Crazy Upstater!!!
Is he like fellow upstater Kerry Woods? Never wins an elections?
Yawn. Legislators are corupt and don’t pay taxes on time…Who knew?
What a douchebag. Seriously, is that the best he can do?
“That was for my Grandmother who always wanted me to do something right,” Osborne

You haven’t done anything right before? Your Grandmother is still waiting.
“An Alleged Political Operative Re-publishes Public Information Including Charges that Were Dropped”
Does the ” State Law Enforcement Division ” ( SLED ) enforce the laws of the state ? Or, are they just a bunch of dumb-ass turds that get paid a ass of money ? Why have they not arrested Nikki ? I say, get rid of SLED, the FEDS have to do the work for ’em. Keel must be in the wood pile somewhere, just saying !
“Political operative” is a euphemism for “mouth breathing paid sleaze slunger”
For the record: my Grandmothers would have disowned me for being stupid enough to think his disclosures were redeeming.
Their collective commentary would have existed of: “Bless his heart.”
John Osborne, I’m sorry for the loss of your Grandmother. However, your “likes/ups” on the posts that are taking you to task for your actions suggest a self-loathing that is quite curious; perhaps a bit disturbing.
Do yourself and your Grandmom a favor and just shut the fuck up until she reaches her grave.
May she rest in peace and you find comfort from the demons that haunt your soul.
BORING: The Tim McGraw scandal is BIG: McGraw should be in JAIL for assault.
SCPD NAILS it: http://scdigest.blogspot.com/2014/07/tim-mcgraw-should-have-been-arrested.html
Your blog still sucks.
You *looked*?
Doe’s this include Nikki and the rest of the republicans in SC ?
Just like what “Emily Peterkin” said to “Grand Tango” after sex…..
THAT”S IT?”
*BOOM! TBG brings it to a whole new level>
So Liberal-Tarians are pro men beating women…
How could I have missed that???…..If it feels good to it..and a man slapping the $#!* out a smaller, disadvantaged woman, feels goo to yall……Classy…
So Liberal-Tarians are pro men beating women…
Somewhat unsurprisingly, you missed the joke.
TBG , however, is nothing, if not, a caring mentor. TBG was implying that you have a small penis and/or short duration during sex. See…*we8 were expecting *more* from a headline like:
“OPERATIVE EXPOSES SC LAWMAKERS’ LEGAL TROUBLES”
After reading the post…*we* were disappointed.
*********************************************************************
*Happy TBG could help clear that up for you.

what are you, a scientologist?
I’d “follow” you, but I don’t want to give you the satisfaction!
In your case, HELL yea, love to beat/slap pretend men-woman whores. ” I’ll show you class “. and you know you’ll love it !
WTH is a ” a bare-knuckle political operative”??
Does that mean he has slap fights arguing about politics?
Why blame being a rat on your dead grandmother. That’s an embarrassment to lame fuckers around the world.
My Mother always told me politics and Attorney’s were not Honorable Professions. She was right.
