A LESSON FROM DOWN UNDER …
U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham (RINO-S.C.) was the only “Republican” in the U.S. Congress to support Barack Obama’s “cap and trade” carbon tax.
Missed that? Here’s a refresher …
Graham masked his support for the tax hike in clever language (i.e. “pricing carbon,”) but no one was fooled … least of all us. In fact when liberal special interests tried to come to South Carolina masquerading their money behind “Republican” groups, we exposed the scam (here, here, here and here).
The more things change, right?
The tax – which would have raised the average American family’s energy costs by $4,000 a year – was ultimately defeated, although the Obama administration has recently sought to impose it unilaterally.
Is that a good idea?
Let’s ask Australia, which implemented a carbon tax of its own in mid-2012. The results of that levy? A ten percent spike in energy costs for families and a whopping 10,600 business failures – which was 12 percent more business failures than Australia saw at the peak of the global recession. Oh, it also failed to curb emissions .
This week Australia finally scrapped this harmful tax hike – fulfilling a campaign promise made by its new ruling coalition government.
“The tax that you voted to get rid of is finally gone: a useless, destructive tax which damaged jobs, which hurt families’ cost of living and which didn’t actually help the environment,” Australian prime minister Tony Abbott said.
Let’s hope Lindsey Graham, Barack Obama and the rest of the eco-radicals in Washington, D.C. were paying attention …

I do agree that the carbon tax isn’t a good idea, but funny you should mention Tony Abbott when he’s quickly becoming one of the worst PMs out there.
No clue on Tony Abbott … I’ll have to ask my Aussie connections about him.
I’ll have to ask my Aussie connections …
Yo! FITS gotst peoples.
Vote 3rd party!
Unthinking uniformity is the weapon of choice in the establishment, sadly it catches most of the population.
there’s always someone who wants to surf during a tsunami.
It’s certainly dangerous to surf the tsunami of majority opinion in many cases.
Especially if you have a cushy job, or a high profile position.
“At least Lindsey in office is better than a damn Democrat.”
“I’d vote for Lindsey before I would a convicted felon.”
Yeah, keep bleating that shit and believing you’re right. Fucking idiots…
You know he like cock don’t you….
Yeah, funny how these gay-hating Christians in SC will vote for him in a minute but fight tooth and nail to keep the other gays from having equal rights such as marriage. I guess gay is ok if it has an “R” by their name.
Corrupt, it better be a pub, or SC could change.
Carbon Tax is to Emissions Trading as Obamacare is to Single Payer.
The Aussies got it wrong the first time and that’s why it’s repealed, but it needs to be replaced with something better that targets the fossil fuel polluters directly without harming the end consumer’s budget as well as pump money into alternative and renewables.
See Minnesota plan.

“targets the fossil fuel polluters directly without harming the end consumer’s budget”

That is not possible. Consumers are the polluters.
Looks like Obama is giving Graham the platform to beat all the other minor-party candidates. Hutto and Ravenel HAVE TO HATE IT…LMAO…
Republican Senators reject Obama’s lenient judge, who aided killers’ release

Just more rhetoric from sic(k) willie to earn his retainer from t-bone-Rav.
…we heard Rav-bone has agreed to another season of his moronic TV show.
…geezeee, watching him is worse than watching Honey-Boo-B00.
…but, we assume he needs the money to keep up his image.
If you’re considering voting for the convicted drug dealer, consider this:
With a Federal conviction for using and dealing drugs, t-bone will never get the security clearance that members of Congress must have for some of the stuff they get briefed on from time to time.
So, sic(k) willie, how about tell your readers how t-bone plans to address this flaw in his nose-candy-icy (sorry, spelling error: candidacy).
