That is the worst case scenario from hell but not impossible.
Agreed, however the progressive wing of the Democratic party have turned against Hillary and the O-Bot wing hates her as a matter of course. The progressives love Pocahontas (AKA Elizabeth Warren).
The Republican party has no real outstanding candidate or anyone showing leadership on a multitude of issues. There is also the rift between the “mainstream” Republicans and the Tea Party / conservative wing of the party. The Republicans need a Reagan type candidate to unite the party otherwise someone like Jeb Bush is going to primaries (likely by plurality not a majority) and either force the nomination to the convention or win by the narrowest of margins.
The better question is “Can candidate x beat Elizabeth Warren?” She’s the more likely nominee at this point.

Chris Christie and his tax cutting ways “have wreaked havoc on state finances”, not the judiciary.
He has done almost as much damage as Brownback has in Kansas.
If Christie can’t moderate his diet resorting to banding his stomach and what not, he can’t moderate his politics.
There is not an executive bariatric chair to hold his fat ass. Forget Marine One chopper flights. I guess they could remove two dividers in a three seat section on AF-1. But they won’t be able to widen the hatch or escalate him up and to the hatch. Hydraulics could not lift his fat ass. Could you picture him manually trying to step up the ramp into AF-1? Me neither. To get into AF-1, they would have to use one of those Sikorsky choppers to lift him up to the hatch…or the cargo bay hatch…forget it.
