DHEC’s Ryan White funds and other health education programs are clearly a failure. Perhaps PTT can focus on this huge problem rather than worry about what poor people are eating for dinner.

Ensuring the spread of vaccines that will end horrible diseases is not a core function of government. Making me vaccinate my children against various illnesses before admitting them into public schools so my boy doesn’t get infected or infect his classmates is literally akin to Hitler having six million Jews killed. Whatever drugs I do decide to give my children should not undergo government-mandated tests, that should be left up to Big Pharma corporations whose primary interests is ensuring profits for their shareholders. Clearly they have a much greater interest in public health than some entity representing the public at large.

One of the main reasons that the SCDC has all of there prisoners with the disease located in the Columbia area. Others with it that are in other govt. institutions are also located in the Columbia area.

Columbia was on the forefront for HIV/AIDS treatment back in the 90’s. Many “infected” people came to Columbia for then cutting edge treatment. The facility was on St Julians Place. I heard that when I went down there to get tested because of a blood transfusion during surgery at Massachusetts General in 1981. Now, AIDS is running rampant predominately in black males (prison population) who give it to black females besides the usual white male homosexuals bring up the rear in the Midlands.
One thing the Government should do is get out the word all around Richland County of this grave medical danger. It’s amazing that this is not on the front page of every news paper and TV News Cast in SC. Everyone should know about this real danger, and how to protect themselves from it, i.e. condoms or abstain.
These facts do not fit the new media’s liberal agenda.

You failed to mention that South Carolina is again ranked #1 in heterosexual transmission of HIV/AIDS. What Columbian consider to be a homosexual issue is really a heterosexual health crisis.
