CAN WE STILL BLAME THE WEATHER?
The U.S. economy is still struggling to shake off a disappointing start to 2014 … and this time the weather can’t be blamed for the lethargy.
American industrial output unexpectedly slipped in April by 0.6 percent – its worst performance since August 2012. March’s performance was upwardly revised to a 0.9 percent gain, though, according to data released by the Federal Reserve.
U.S. industry operated at only 78.6 percent of its capacity last month – down from 79.3 percent in March. Not exactly firing on all cylinders, huh?
“While soft-survey-driven data shows sentiment rebounding after Americans hibernation, it appears the hard data on what they are actually producing – now that weather is behind us – is dismal,” the website Zero Hedge notes.
Bloomberg offered a more cheerful tone, referring to the April data as “a pause after the biggest back-to-back monthly gains in manufacturing since 2010.”
So … you can swallow the bitter pill or the happy pill.
Your pick …

President Obama is doing the best he can to get this $#%& under control. Don’t lose your patience because he was left with a mess by the Republicans.
GAY PRIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tango’s got a fanboy…..
*looks around for other Apocalyptic signs*
Your @%$# right I do. I love myself. I found out that with a few stretching exercises, I can swallow my own d#$% and even stick it up my own @$$ with a little work. I am going to let it all hang out now.
I found out that with a few stretching exercises, I can swallow my own d#$%…
SPIT IT OUT, T!!!!
IT’S NOT YOURS!!!!!!
Ron Paul doesn’t count?
Watch the 10 year Treasury. It is tanking right now in the face of hot inflation numbers. Right now trading at 2.47%. There is a carney in the coal mine right now and that is it. It broke technical levels yesterday and if it closes the week below 2.57%, it should go down to 1.94%. Great time to refi but horrible times in the economy.
This nation needs an enema, in the form of flushing the democrats from power. Until we get rid of Obama and his party of failure…don’t expect any healing or recovery…
PS: The SC home sales numbers are out this morning for April sales…another declining month…that’s downward sales data for 5 of the last 6 months…and we’re doing better, jobs-wise than many states…
The country is in a freaking mess…and we need to turn it around, get America back from the negative forces that have taken it over…
I might add that I know a lot about enemas because they are essential in getting all that Santorum out of my anal canals.
Having had several enemas down through the years I think I would prefer one to Santorum.
If I have offended anyone on here I will be behind the Obama Store on N Main Street in Columbia today, a little after 3 PM. If I can ease the burden I have caused for so many of you by performing sex acts for you I will. I want to atone for my bad behavior.
Dude, get back on your meds, soon! I guess that gay monkey guy must have been telling us the truth.
Scary!
That would have even gone for you F#$%ing liberal-tarians if you had been smart enough to be there on time. Too bad for you that you didn’t have enough since to be there when the getting was good.
Whew! I’m glad to not be too smart, for once in my life. Thanks but no thanks on ANY kind of physical relationship with you or any other guy.
Interesting. Scout Boats in Summerville plans a $2.5 million expansion and add 300 jobs…

Somehow I missed this in Fit’s economic reports.
Yep. Not all businesses are irresponsible. There are some out there who find it easy to make a profit, treat employees fairly, and grow. Real American businesses, not the American – in – name – only corporations killing our economy.
