WALLS CLOSING IN ON NIKKI HALEY’S SCANDAL-SCARRED WELFARE CZARINA

Federal and state law enforcement agents paid a visit to the offices of embattled S.C. Department of Social Services (SCDSS) director Lillian Koller earlier this week, multiple sources familiar with the “raid” tell FITS.

No details were immediately available regarding the agencies participating in this unannounced visit  – or what they were looking for – but Gov. Nikki Haley’s “rock star” cabinet director has been dealing with multiple scandals for the past several months. In fact lawmakers of both parties – including one of Haley’s top allies – have called on the governor to fire Koller.

Haley has steadfastly refused to do so … taking to social media to question the motivation of Koller’s critics.

Events may soon force her hand, though …

In addition to a drumbeat of public criticism coming from all directions, sources tell FITS a damning audit of SCDSS is nearing completion over at the S.C. Legislative Audit Council (SCLAC). This report will be completed by late May or early June, we’re told.

FITS has been on top of the scandals at SCDSS from day one … doing the work the state’s mainstream media either could not or would not do.

Earlier this year one local television station finally got around to confirming a shocking story that was published by this website last summer. We’re referring, of course, to the tragic tale of Robert Guilyard Jr., a four-year-old boy who was placed into an abusive home by  Koller’s agency despite repeated warnings about his safety.

Because those warnings went unheeded, Guilyard was beaten to death in the home.

We called on Haley to fire Koller in the aftermath of that tragedy – not just because there was actual blood on her hands, but because the Guilyard tragedy was the latest in a long line of examples of her unfitness for office.

Since then there’s been a similar case involving another child death – with the agency recently confirming it had launched an “internal investigation” into that incident.

Beyond these tragic stories, Koller’s agency is replete with incompetence and mismanagement in its handling of our tax dollars. There’s the ongoing failure of SCDSS on the state’s child support enforcement database – or the total lack of follow-through Koller’s agency has shown with regard to a food stamp waiver touted by Haley in her so-called “war on fat.” There are also questionable consultant payments and allegations of cooked books at its “welfare to work” program (as well as its food stamp system).

(For a recent report detailing one of these scams, CLICK HERE).

Add it all up and you have what is hand-down the worst-managed agency in state government … which in South Carolina is saying something, trust us.

It would be really inconvenient for Haley if shit hit the fan before November.

Nah, she’d still win. Her response to the SCDoR incident didn’t change minds, nothing will.

I would think SC would approve of more of their tax dollars going to corruption than to the poor.

There is something sinister, perverted and unnatural about Haley’s unwavering support of Koller? It really makes me suspicious!
There are so many rumors about Haley. Why were those rumors swerling way back in 2007? Haley was on nobody’s radar except Sanford, Harrell, Folks and Marchant!
Now, to sit back and cover the slaughter of innocent children really gives me concern!
When Haley will put her reelection above that these children, it shows me just how corrupt, self serving and EVIL she truly is!
Haley really needs to go! It is in the best interest of the State and all our citizens, especially the innocent little lives, she cares so little for!!!

…the slaughter of innocent children…

That’s not far off base, if you know anyone who has worked with DSS. The neglect and abuse of many of these children and lack of oversight, and even concern, of supervisors, is ungodly.

But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children
come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to
such as these.”

“There is something sinister, perverted and unnatural about Haley’s unwavering support of Koller”
I believe not so much support of Koller, because my sense is that Haley is afraid of Koller, and currently for reasons unkown .
I still believe that there is something that Koller knows that is so damaging to Haley that she is willing to risk everything to keep it from being known. I say damaging and not embarrassing, because Haley is beyond embarrassment. If the proper authorities put the long, ever so slowly tightening, squeeze on Koller, and she will ………

Shes a ‘rock star’ like Koller. She likes to smoke her cocaine (those kind are called ‘rock stars’), Haley is a serious drug addict; isn’t that right Will?, not just a sometimes ‘user.’

If I were Tom or Sheheen during the upcoming debates with Haley and she started attacking Tom for being a democrate and Sheheen of being a trial lawyer I would hold up a small picture of those dead kids and ask her were your poll numbers worth a few dead kids?

Ervin and Sheheen are apparently both pro-abortion so I guess Haley should hold up the pictures of the 30,000,000 chidren aborted since Roe v.Wade?

So you are saying that people like you should decide that if a woman is raped and impregnated its your authority that she cant have an abortion because you are the moral authority….well fuck you. The only thing Haley can hold up is her lies and awful record as Governor.

It is sad what has apparently happened to these children. Democrats have created a cultural and economic climate that destroys homes and puts these children in the hands of DSS.
In regards to abortion-less than less than 1% of all abortions are for the reasons you gave.In those situations (rape, incest) I certainly understand a family deciding to end such pregnancy.
One more thing-FUCK YOU and Democrat/Socialist.Benedict Arnold Chalie Crist Jr., TOM ERVIN! :-)

This ain’t even a race for gov in SC. In my opinion, just one middle- aged attorney and two old, tired and bitter liberal attorneys trying to figure out how to make another buck off the taxpayers.
Thank goodness the money will be coming from the DNC and Democrat PACS.

OK. So your point being on abortion is that two poor kids dying is ok with Haley that were preventable when compared to millions since those numbers are Ok to make her look good in the polls. You are a cancer on society

case workers do not earn enough money , the turn around rate is very high because you have many, many young workers who cannot handle all of the long hrs and the stress and especially the paperwork. in this way the children are neglected but not on purpose. every regional director and above have a hand in the management of the programs and are constantly changing the rules and adding more job duties which results in a state of constant confusion for these workers. its no wonder they all leave soon after taking on the job. just take a look at the dss job site and you will see how there are many openings for workers.

another program is the adult protective services and dss doesnt even want that program in dss. dss is doing everything they can to get rid of the program because they REALLY dont care about the elderly. someone better start caring since one day we will all be elderly and in need of help especially since these people are exploited abused and neglected alot.

In at least 2 counties I have had dealings with, APS is as dangerous to vulnerable adults as CPS is to children.
And, there is some corruption thrown in for good measure with things like workers putting their immediate family members in homes as paid employees of the rich, ‘demented’ clients. And, the interim county director knows…

Shutupimtalking May 10, 2014 at 4:20 am

Koller gave millions to contract providers to provide service for families diverted from child protective services intervention . She even brought in ‘experts’ from other states to help train staff about the process. Ironic that the other state is currently in the news for reportedly improperly diverting and closing thousands of protective services cases at the direction of that state’s administration! Open your eyes! We’ve been screaming about this situation since she took the office…no one’s listens until something tragic happens. Meanwhile, even with all the attention, the caseload sizes continue to grow.
