Following a summary hearing on whether Attorney General Alan Wilson should be removed from the ethics investigation of S.C. House Speaker Bobby Harrell the Chairman of the Charleston County Democratic Party, Brady Quirk-Garvan, released the following statement.
“Today the Speaker of the House displayed just how broken the system is in Columbia. Speaker Harrell is trying to remove a fellow Republican from investigating his ethics scandal so he can have a kangaroo-court of fellow house members clear his name.”
Chairman Quirk-Garvan went on to say “We look forward to the decision by Judge Manning. Obviously we hope he will uphold the law and allow Attorney General Wilson to do his job.”

From Haley on down this state is so evil and corrupt with money and power. I moved many years ago and my income soared and I am now retired and enjoying life. Good luck if you still live in south carolina and enjoy your simpleton lawmakers or should I say rulers. South Carolina the new Roman Empire. Keep them entertained and they will forget how shitty their lives are.
If we’re the Roman Empire, you must be a Cretan.
And you are a consumer fuckhead
Calling me a “consumer”. That’s uncalled for.
What a piece if shit you are….since you see fit to call names so do I.
Dude…I think he’s referring to Roman’s going to Crete….
Hard to believe that I’m nodding in agreement with Brady Quirk-Garvan. Finally, there is bipartisan consensus that Bobby Harrell is a scoundrel.
This shocking! Democrats slamming Republicans. This has never occurred before anywhere!
When democrats are FOR: Obamacare; Obama’s Economy; Spying on citizens; Obama’s Non-Energy policy; Outlawing Christianity; Obama’s Forced Abortion funding; Obama’s Sexual Preference as an extra-Civil Right; The Muslim Brotherhood; An Aggressive Russia; IRS Targeting Political Enemies;…
I’m sure you’d much rather tell er’body what you are AGAINST….so you will be a little less Repulsive to good people…
Look at all those facts, y’all. I think outlawing Christianity is my fave.
Do you support Christianity???
I support the separation of church and state, Mr. Consitutional Champion.
Is that phrase in the Constitution?….and does the government have the authority to exclude speech of Christianity?….and why did you avoid answering my question?
First Admendment:
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…”
The point it ensures that religious beliefs – private or organized – are removed from attempted government control. The reason why the government cannot tell either you or your church what to believe or to teach. It also ensures that the government does not get involved with enforcing, mandating, or promoting particular religious doctrines. Does that work for you?
Why can’t you answer the simple questions, specifially? Are you afraid of showing your ignorance or your deceit?
I did, But it was too over your head…let’s try another analogy: The right to a fair trial isn’t “specifically” mentioned in The Consitution, but The Sixth Admendment states: “In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence.”
There is nothing there about a “fair trial,” but what should be clear is that this Amendment is setting up the conditions for fair trials: public, speedy, impartial juries, information about the crimes and laws, etc. The Constitution does not specifically say that you have a right to a fair trial, but the rights created only make sense on the premise that a right to a fair trial exists. Thus, if the government found a way to fulfill all of the above obligations while also making a trial unfair, the courts would hold those actions to be unconstitutional.
Most often, people who cannot answer the question that is asked, straightforward, and with brevity…it is because you are not smart enough to know the answer yourself…or you have been caught in a lie.
My initial contention is that you are anti-Christian, as a liberal. And again: I think you have found the rope, tied it and placed around your neck…and kicked the stool….all by yourself.
Still breathing, bitch! Lol, but, I just came twice and you can’t get it up…
Nah, just confirming how your overreaching mindset. For example, if a Republican Christian kills someone, I don’t go runnng around stating ” Republican Christians are murderous by defination.” Anyway, Saturday night, it’s time to burn churches, make voodoo dolls, drink and drive, rape goats…
We cant have this!
Re Elect Harrell!
Next thing you know,Nancy Pelosi will be taking over the whole damn state!
Wait till the good and much nastier shit comes out on Wilson and his family, OMG; on its way and he knows it. We now got McMaster, the governor fucker; Condon, the I sold all of you out on the drivers license deal and Medlock the guy whose more shriveled than my dick coming to the defense of Wilsons boy scout outing, on its way no doubt.
Politics have become a Cancer on America. We need to do away with the two party system because the majority are crooks and those who are not will be if they stick around.

I don’t expect much from pro-criminal judge, Casey Manning. He is like another version of “Judge” Goode, who was forced off of the bench some years back for letting a woman off with no jail time after she caused permanent damage to a child she was supposed to be caring for. The only difference is that Manning hasn’t had a case that shocked the public’s conscience quite as badly, yet.
Casey is much better than most people give him credit for. He knows that whatever decision he makes (and it probably will be in favor of the AG – who is the chief prosecuting officer for the state) will be appealed to Queen’s Court (pun intended) and that decision, whatever it is) won’t hurt his VERY GOOD reputation at all. Casey is an extremely honest person, who prosecuted a case for me when he was an assistant AG against a politically powerful legislator’s client (that the local Solicitor wanted to dodge) and we won. As a result, he was elected judge, and I was invited to “retire”, which I did, since I was tired of fighting the politics, and had 32 years into the system. We need more judges with his basic ethics, and fewer political favorites.
