What did Presidents Herbert Hoover, Harry Truman and Dwight Eisenhower have in common? Something three presidents have done – but no one in either party now has the courage to do.
This is something that should be of great interest for you to pass around. I didn’t know of this until it was pointed out to me. Back during the Great Depression, Herbert Hoover ordered the deportation of ALL illegal aliens in order to make jobs available to American citizens that desperately needed work.
Harry Truman deported over two million illegal aliens after WWII to create jobs for returning veterans. In 1954 Dwight Eisenhower deported 13 million Mexicans. The program was called “Operation Wetback.” It was done so WWII and Korean War veterans would have a better chance at jobs.
It took two years, but they deported them!
Now, if they could deport the illegal aliens back then, they could surely do it today. If you have doubts about the veracity of this information, enter Operation Wetback into your favorite search engine and confirm it for yourself. Why, you might ask, can’t they do this today? Actually the answer is quite simple.
Hoover , Truman, and Eisenhower were men of honor, not untrustworthy politicians looking for votes! Reminder: Don’t forget to pay your taxes – 12 to 20 million illegal aliens – are depending on it.

Denny, Thanks for your letter. This website opposes the extension of any taxpayer-funded benefit to individuals who are in the country illegally. However we believe strongly in the supporting the ongoing positive impact immigrants have on our economy, and therefore we support the sort of sensible immigration reform championed by the Cato Institute and other pro-free market organizations.
As it relates to your deportation argument, in 1970 there were 760,000 legal and illegal Mexican immigrants in America – a number that soared to more than 11 million by 2004. While this website wholeheartedly endorses deportation for illegal immigrants who commit crimes, the sort of mass deportation you champion is simply no longer feasible.

Do you really think that it promotes your cause to use derogatory terms like “wetback”. Hopefully our country has progressed enough that it would never support any immigrant policy that singles out one nationality or ethnic group.
When I Google “Operation Wetback” l find links to a regretful past.
Fits says “deportation you champion is simply no longer feasible.” It’s also not ethical and for you not to recognize the bigotry of this letter is either and over site or revealing of your own attitude.
Are you upset at the term wetback or the fact that you’re now going to have to pay someone more than $2.00/hr. to do your yardwork? When resources such as medical facilities and public schools are overwhelmed because of illegals using them and causing legal citizens to wait or fork over more money to support them then there is a legitimate issue. Why should public schools be forced to hire translators because the illegal children (and their parents) can’t understand English and end up slowing the whole class down with, “kay???”. Maybe with Obamacare they’ll start paying for their own medical services… yeah right.
The numbers speak for themselves, we’re not supporting singling out one nationality, but when a whole nation moves in then it’s time to do something. Are there any people besides the drug cartel left in Mexico?

I’m all for it. I would add imprisonment for renting, leasing and selling property. That would put a white face on the illegal immigration problem.

There’s no need to imprison or deport anyone, unless they are actually being a nuisance or criminal. They come here for opportunity, and there are a number of people who are more than willing to give it to them because it means more money in their wallet. Paying illegal immigrants less than minimum wage for unskilled, hard, and/or dangerous labor to pull a bigger profit, that’s no different than shipping jobs to China or some third world country because it cuts costs (and quality, but who gives a damn) so that more money stays in the pockets of a few.
It really isn’t that Americans don’t want these jobs, either, it is just that most Americans refuse to work shitty jobs for shit pay, because it isn’t economically feasible for most folks, not without great sacrifices to stretch the money out.
But it becomes a vicious cycle. We love cheap stuff, so the cheaper the better. Anyone who can cut labor costs gains the upper hand, even if it is done by terrible means, so to compete, others have to as well. This results in few to no jobs available for Americans in various fields because they can’t live on slave wages in what could be considered slave conditions (the fact that many illegal immigrants live in overcrowded houses, forgo “luxuries” most of us take for granted, and share expenses to get by). The only reason illegal immigrants do this is because (1) it’s better than what they had back home, and (2) they likely have people at home counting on them sending money back to them. I’m sure a lot of us would do the same being in their shoes, I know I would if it was the only thing I could do to feed my family.
We hear the same arguments with raising the minimum wage. “I don’t want to pay more for a hamburger just so some jackass can make more money.” Saving a dime means a lot more to most than saving someone else’s livelihood, whether it is the persons who profit from it, or those who pay money for it, whether it is a service or a good. C.R.E.A.M., after all. This is just one of many reasons that the “free market” doesn’t always put the best interests of society on the front burner.
Meh, I’m ranting now. Just go and spend money on cheap Chinese-made products, sold at a store that’s mopped and stocked by illegal immigrants, because it’s 50 cents cheaper. Consume! Consume! Consume!

Go by the new Darla Moore School of Business and asked to see the supervisor for the roofing contractor. Ask him how many non-English speaking Hispanics that he has working for him. Then ask them if they are actual employees that he deducts taxes and social security from their paychecks. If he tells you the truth, you will be surprised. Its how they circumvent the law. BTW, the contractor is from North Carolina ( a sanctuary state for illegal aliens ). The general contractor is B.L. Harbert out of Alabama. They, along with the construction management team employed by USA both know about these illegals aliens. They will deny that they do. But that would be bold faced lie.
BTW … The illegals on the Darla Moore project installed the entire roof on this new building wrong and in an unacceptable manner. They are in the process of removing all of the roofing material that was completed, and installing new materials the “correct” way. Needless to say, the North Carolina roofing contractor will likely have to file bankruptcy.
If the average “hater” who defiles AMERICAN tradesman only knew the 1099 scam being run by these SCUM BAG contractors, there would be public floggings!
Call every illegal employee an “independent contractor’, put all the money on the check, without NO federal ,state, or FICA taxes, save the 7 1/2 % FICA tax the contractor doesn’t pay.
Then wait and see if the illegal declares income, pays federal and state tax, plus BOTH sides of the FICA tax.

I paid my Hispanic young man and his “friend” $10.00/hour each to do yard work once a week. Usually totaled $100 – $120 a week (3 acres) . They also did yard work at 4 other homes that I know of — but, when the weather warmed up, they quit and took a job painting houses (mostly inside) for $7.50/hour. Go figure…. and, no – I don’t know if they reported their income.
Are you in Columbia? Can I borrow them? I can’t find anyone in the city to help me in the yard for $10 an hour. Hell, I’ll do most of the work. When I was in high school, I used to cut everybody’s grass and do their errands for around $4 an hour (1985), which would translate to roughly $8.78 an hour. The bigger problem is, now teenagers are too damn lazy to work for even $10 an hour. They would rather play video games or sit on their ass.

Apparently near Ware Place, and near a small Presbyterian Church near the county line on US 25. My great-grandfather taught at Mt Gallagher School near there in the 1880s. Mainly looking for either a “Chandler School” or a “Chandler’s Store” — all may be gone and redeveloped now. Probably around 10 miles. THANKS.

Absolutely! Repatriating them to their homeland does not deprive them of freedoms they enjoyed when they lived there. They had no business coming here, in violation of our laws to begin with, so there is no shame in sending them back home.

I love the Self Deport model. As Americans what we want to do is isolate an ethnic group, and actively (with support from the government) discriminate against them and force them into poverty on the hopes they will leave. Why is it “no longer feasible?” Nonsense. That is an excuse for Liberals/Progressives to use. It could be done much easier today than it could have been back then – transportation is better. Military on the border supervising the return would work well.
I don’t know if “Denny Knight” is a real person or a pseudonym, but if he’s real that makes two accurate words about Hoover and Truman in this goofy letter–unless you count the fact that Herbert Hoover and Harry Truman were actually once U.S. presidents. Neither ever ordered mass deportations. Under Dwight Eisenhower, “Operation Wetback” did take place, but closer to 2 million people left or were deported (not 13 million) almost all of them from Mexico, many of whom later returned.
