“REPUBLICANS” STILL GROWING GOVERNMENT BY TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS …
U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan – the GOP’s 2012 vice presidential nominee – unveiled his final spending blueprint this week. The status quo lawmaker from Wisconsin will be handing over the gavel of the U.S. House budget committee at the end of this year.
Ryan’s budget repeals U.S. President Barack Obama’s socialized medicine monstrosity in its entirety … yet in an ironic move it presumes to include projected budgetary savings resulting from the implementation of the law.
Assuming that ever happens …
At last count, Obama’s administration had acted – without Congressional approval, it’s worth noting – to alter, delay or eliminate sixteen different provisions of the hugely controversial law.
Anyway …
Ryan claims his budget would cut $5.1 trillion over the coming decade ($2 trillion of which ostensibly from eliminating Obamacare), thus bringing the federal budget in balance by the year 2024.
What he neglects to mention is that this is a “cut” over current policies. Government would continue to expand under Ryan’s proposal – from $4 trillion a year currently to $5 trillion a year by 2024.
Also, his revenue projections are almost as ludicrous as those contained in Obama’s spending plan – meaning the “balanced” budget he projects ten years from now is dependent on borderline hallucinatory revenue growth.
Nonetheless, Ryan is trotting out some familiar rhetoric …
“This budget stops spending money we don’t have,” he says. “A balanced budget will foster a healthier economy and help create jobs. This will ensure the next generation inherits a stronger, more prosperous America.”
Yeah, yeah, yeah …
We’ve heard all that before.
Once again we have concrete proof that Republicans are never going to cut government, they’re just going to grow it a little less obscenely than Democrats. Neither path is acceptable given our nation’s $17.5 trillion mountain of unpaid debt.

Paul Ryan proposes an absolute batshit crazy budget that has zero chances of passing and yet it STILL doesn’t please the radicals. Wonderful.
Crazy how? I would ask what the Democratic Party’s plan is to balance the budget, but that would be crazy, right? Especially since the Democrats are once again refusing to even pass a budget. I guess doing your job once every 5 years is good enough for Democrats. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/02/28/senate-democrats-budget-2014_n_4876291.html
If chances of implementation play into craziness, then surely you would agree that Obama is the craziest person in our nation’s history given that not even a single Democrat voted for his 2012 budget in the House (414-0) or the Senate (99-0).
And yet he kicked republican ass in the last election and the republicans remain toothless and limp dicked sucking Adelsons cock for money to run.
I see no reason to vote for these assholes.
I dislike every word you typed but it was the Republicans election to lose and they did it in grand fashion. Any race that remotely resembles that one will surely go to the Democrats again.
Look at your field of contenders…. the Reps will lose the next presidential election too.
I hate Republicans.
But I do feel sorry for the few of their number who know they’ve been suckered, and want nothing more than a voice in the government so that their point of view might be represented.
I like every word that he typed because he very succinctly summed up the situation. Why mince words?
Republicans seek money from wealthy contributors? Shocking. Good thing Democrats don’t do this. Oh wait, the biggest campaign contributors disproportionately support Democrats. http://www.opensecrets.org/orgs/list.php

I don’t know if it is really an accomplishment to beat the morons running the GOP in an election. Especially when you factor in the home town advantage they have with the press.
“Vote for the mentally insane!”
“Are you nuts?”
“Well, what have the sane done for us lately?”
Baseline budgeting is the way things always work in Washington. It is ridiculous and he should be pointing that out every chance he gets. But it is hardly some trick he has come up with. And are you factoring in inflation? $5 trillion in 2024 money is going to be worth a hell of a lot less than it is today. So if government were growing at $5 trillion per yer at that point, that would be a smaller rate of growth than $4 trillion today.
And are you factoring in inflation

If only we could get back to the inflation levels of Reagan… [wistful look]
…maybe a new war?
FITS: calls Obamacare “the hugely controversial law”…as he bashes Ryan…
How Mother-F*#k!ng stupid does FITS think we are…Obamacare is Hugely HATED, Hugely REJECTED and Hugely Failed…
It was Controversial when Peolosi was hiding what is in it (we must pass it to see)…
At this point: Obamacare is WAY past controversial…except to idiots like FITS who are still Sucking Obama’s D!*k…..
FITS if you are NOT Viscously Bludgeoning Obama (figuratively) you are as big an Anti-American pieces of $#!* as he is…there are no ifs and buts to that…
You’re not fooling a soul….except the terminally STUIPD….See Chris Chisty, that’s how F*#kin ignorant FITS looks w/ his soft-peddling of his lord-god Obama…
Pssst…T…. the repukes are trying to slowly back away from their opposition to Obamacare because contrary to what Fox and Limballs is telling you it has exceeded expectations. LoL! Someone didn’t send you the memo?
Current poll: 49% approve of the ACA; 48% disapprove. I guess those who finally have insurance are liking it. Even the right wing folks.
Its a massive failure. You lose the Senate over it…so STFU…while smart and responsible clean up this mess.
We’re right on it, Good Buddy!!
I seem to remember you posting comment after comment before Obama kicked republican ass in 2012 sounding the very same o0nly with less @%$&&. Me thinks Mister T is getting desperate! LOL!!
It’s a H#!! of lot harder to cheat and lie for all those senate seats, especially w/ Obamacare manifesting, than it was for your deity Obama, before Obamacare came home to roost..
And Obama was one man who motivated the race-idiots, the corrupt, and the ignorant, like you…
Why do you think the House is GOP, and the stronger members are P!$$!ng all over your lord-god Obama???…The smaller the district, the more difficult is is to scam the voters…Dumb@$$…
Hey, I fucking love Obamacare!!
You mean Obamas monstrosity that is a huge success with more enrollements than even they expected? That one? Or the one that has 9 million people who were without insurance and are now insured?
Thanks Obama!
This is the first month in a decade that there have been no US combat deaths.
Thanks Obama!
Ryan wants to increase defense spending when the Iraq war is over and we are getting ready to leave Afghanistan yet wants to cut domestic programs for the sick and poor. Obama wants to extend unemployment benefits for those still unemployed because of the Bush depression.
Thanks Obama!
Looks like the rightwing nut jobs are going to have to find something else to blame Obama for. That is right after the get up off their knees in front of Adelson.
LoL! Fuck you!
The enrollment is 7 million, not 9, and not anywhere close to all of those are “people who were without insurance and are now insured.” You are conveniently ignoring the substantial number of enrollees who had insurance that was cancelled because of Obamacare. According to this article, the number of previously uninsured people who have paid for a policy through the exchanges is a whopping 858,000, or less than 10% of the number you claim. So Obama essentially nationalized 1/6 of the economy to provide insurance to less than 1 million uninsured people. Seems excessive.

“The enrollment is 7 million, not 9”
I highly doubt this number as well. The government issues so much bullshit in numbers anymore you are better off to assume what has been issued is first wrong and you’ll be right far more than 50% of the time.
If they say 7 mil, I’d be surprised if it was actually 3.5 mil.
I didn’t say Obamacare had 9 million enrollment, I said 9 million who were uninsured are now insured. Many of these people were eligible for Medicaid but did not know it. The mandate forced them to look into coverage and lo and behold they were eligible. Ask Nikki and FITS they can tell you all about it.
LoL! More teapublican idiocy that has boomeranged on them and make them look like grand tango’s. Gotta love it!!
Also don’t forget the 21 to 26 year olds who were able to stay under mom or dad plan.
Those folks were included in the bogus number johnq cited. And of course if those young people could find jobs in Obama’s economy, they would not need to stay on their parents insurance until they are 26.
The Washington Post gave that 9 million number 3 Pinocchios. It is amazing how much Dems have to massage the numbers to try to spin something positive out of this mess. Obama claimed ACA would let people keep their plans, keep their doctors, lower costs, and insure the 40 million previously uninsured Americans. All of those promises were either deliberate lies or have (predictably) failed to come to pass.
It’s even worse than I thought, lol…858K have actually paid…
forgot the linky thing:

Please don’t tell me your source is a right wing British rag. You don’t even have a Faux News Network confirmation?
No. If you had read the article, the source was a RAND report. Did you read it? Or do you only absorb information disseminated by the Huffington Post or DailyKos?
Can you actually highlight an error in its reporting? I guess you are waiting for Think Progress to put out some talking points for you on how to respond. Best to stick to the faux news silliness until then.
Once again we have concrete proof that Republicans are never going to cut government, they’re just going to grow it a little less obscenely than Democrats.
———-
That’s not it – Republicans have *always* grown the government – just for different *things* – instead of social programs, and science, the Republicans are famous for graft, war, corporate welfare, tax cuts for the richest Americans, and “incentives” for the rich to get richer, like outsourcing, tax breaks for business overseas, and blocking legislation to prosecute the richest tax cheats, blocking prohibiting pollution which leads to expensive clean ups and lawsuits.
Whenever I witness budget talks by either side of our current government paradigm(Republican or Democrat), it helps remind me that I made the right decision to withdraw from voting and hope the most incompetent son of a bitch gets into office.
I want to see more deficit spending, more quickly. I’m on board the QE train, I want them to speed it all up. I want the end of the experiment to come sooner rather than after decades of economic misery.
More healthcare, increase minimum wages to $50/hour, & start more overseas undeclared wars. I want the US gov’t boot on the necks of everyone on the globe in all fashions: economic, militarily, & ideologically.
The nation is great, and we need to show everyone that, so fire up the printing presses-full throttle down.
Good to see you back Pytel.Knew you couldn’t stay away.
lol! No doubt!

America, this is Paul Ryan. I am here today to tell you that its time for Americans to pull together and make this country great. America’s job creators have been working non-stop and selflessly to create jobs for you; and America’s energy industry has been working like mad men to create the energy you need. But these people can’t live on record profits and record low taxes alone. They desperately need lower taxes and higher subsidies. So its time for you, middle America, to do your part.
In order to fund the things the job creators and energy creators must have to prosper even more than they already are, we need to gut your Medicare and take your houses to pay for your nursing home care. We need a few more of you to live on the street, a few more to give up your life to inadequate health care, and your children need to go a little longer without food. Some of you may need to live in thing I call Ryan Towns after you retire. But it will be worth it. With the additional funds these small sacrifices will bring, Americas Job creators will see heretofore unimagined profits and taxes at levels J. P. Morgan would envy; and America’s energy industry will see a new birth of subsidies to supplement the tired old ones and the right to mine federal land we already give them.
So roll up those sleeves middle America; its time to take one for the Gipper.
….take one in the ass for the gipper. Because Murica!
Ryan’s budget is a colossal April Fool’s joke.
I hope Will puts up a topic on the minimum wage – this place sill go up in FLAMES!
FLAMES, I tell you!
