WBTW’S ERIKA HAYES GETS PRIMETIME GIG
Erika Hayes – one of the Palmetto State’s top news anchors – will appear in an upcoming episode of CBS’ primetime drama ‘Under the Dome.’
Hayes will portray a news anchor on the program, which is based on Stephen King’s 2009 novel about a small town suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by a giant transparent bubble.
The show’s second season premieres on Monday June 30 at 10:00 p.m. EDT.
“The whole experience was so cool,” Hayes wrote on her Facebook page. “Very interesting to see how the magic happens behind the scenes.”
A Pennsylvania native who attended the University of South Carolina, Hayes has been at WBTW TV 13 (CBS – Florence/ Myrtle Beach, S.C.) since 2010. She got her start as a weekend reporter, but now anchors WBTW’s 11:00 p.m. newscast – and a 10:00 p.m. newscast for WFXB TV.
Our founding editor got a chance to see Hayes in action during his family’s ice storm hiatus in Myrtle Beach, S.C. last month – and was very impressed. She’s gorgeous – and gifted as both an anchor and an investigative reporter.
We wish her the best as her star continues to ascend …

Someone from Greenville is trapped under the dome? I thought for sure they’d put the dome over Orangeburg.
