Which one is the candidate? I’d vote for the one in the bow tie.

He looks like a real go-getter, and I especially like his bow tie!

Pizza parties for everybody? Double recess time? Statewide ban on homework? Finally, a candidate willing to work for the people.

He’s obviously a “BOW TIE” Republican.

So he’s for a tax swap, not a tax cut. His fallacy is that he thinks he needs to replace an income tax cut with a sales tax increase. How about replace the lost revenue with spending cuts and economic growth instead?

Reply
Smirks March 21, 2014 at 8:55 am

>spending cuts

Because he’s not a delusional troll who thinks the legislature is suddenly going to do something it is notorious for not doing?

>economic growth

Because eliminating state income tax won’t impact the economy significantly enough to even come close to making up for the loss in revenue via other already-existing taxes? Let alone accomplish what its proponents say it will?

That awkward moment where you realize conservatives always complain about the poor not having “skin in the game” because they don’t pay much in federal income taxes, but then claim they want to “help the poor” by eliminating state income taxes they actually do pay.

Because people who are for income tax cuts and sales tax increases believe rich people pay to much and everyone else pays to little. A standard Republican Position. A sales tax increase will largely be born by the poor an middle class.

No. It was his wife, dummy.

SC, what is it with all these fruity ass conservative types who wear bow ties in your state? Rich little poofs are probably still dressed by their pilled up, still buzzed from the UDC luncheon, inbred mothers.

If I had to pick a #1 ideal that drives those calling themselves “progressive”, it would be that of “envy”.

It drives almost everything they do. Their tax policy, their constant cries about needing government for “fairness”(as if that isn’t laughable all by itself), their totalitarian views on property rights, etc.

You scratch the surface of a Republican and you get a right leaning fascist. You scratch the surface of a Democrat and you get left leaning fascist. The differences between them are very little ideologically, only their patrons differ.

Major Cordite March 22, 2014 at 3:23 am

Actually the only difference between them is how they tie their bow ties in SC. Democrats start with a left and over fold and Republicans start with a right and over fold. Bend and snap. Looking good my friends!

Don’t you just luv these cute pictures. I really like it when the whole family is dressed in white and barefoot on the beach with their Labs drooling behind them. Smiling faces, beautiful places. We really are not idiots, we just favor them.

They are real folks, and what ya’ see is what ya’ get. Good luck to him.

Major Cordite March 23, 2014 at 6:18 pm

Yes they are real, very real. The picture to me is still goofy, and the children need to wear clean pants when they are having their picture made. Swigging drinks and chewing gum in a publicly released photograph is a tad obnoxious to me. Just my opinion and I’m sticking to it, ShiftyH.

“Lowcountry values of honor……..” Gimme a break! So, the world revolves around the Lowcountry? That’s a weird orbit. Sort of like the Atlantic Ocean is formed by the merger of the Ashley and Cooper Rivers, right? Proof positive that several hundred years of inhaled dried mule dung dust, coming from Charleston’s horse drawn carriages, has caused some unusual thought patterns among this bow tie tribe. Luv my Garden and Gun folks. Bless their hearts. :-)

The kid in the middle has on dirty pants. Wife needs to hire better help and fire her current laundress. The kid on the right is suffering from imbedded dried Lowcountry Booger Syndrome. A simple saline solution and nose enema will clear it right up.

If looks could kill, those who viewed this picture would be dead. Not a flattering family photo. The adults appear phoney, the kids spoiled. Just my take, we will never know … unless they are elected.

It’s funny… this south of Broader, Russell Guerard -a term used to define those who cock their nose upward, drink mint juleps, wear straw hats and ring a bell when they need something- last voted in the 2010 democratic primary and has never voted in a presidential primary and he now has all of a sudden seen the light as a republican. Give me fu#@ing break!

Wow, and plantation, I’ll vote for any tax hike 20 year blowhard Limehouse is more conservative? Give me a break, I know Russell, he’s a winner. Looks like he beat Limehouse in a GOP straw poll too.
