SENATOR MUST NEVER BE ALLOWED TO SERVE ON HIGH COURT …
Suppose a “Republican” wins the White House in 2016. Big deal, right? Let’s not forget the last “Republican” president nearly doubled the national debt, expanded entitlement spending and put ideological sellout John Roberts on the U.S. Supreme Court.
Oh, he also created a domestic spy network as part of America’s “War on Terror” – a war we’re losing, by the way.
Seriously, what was the point of electing a “Republican” president again? We’re not sure …
There was clearly no point to electing a “Republican-controlled” U.S. House of Representatives, either …
Anyway …
Assuming a “Republican” does win the White House in 2016, there’s a chance they would get to appoint a couple of U.S. Supreme Court justices. And according to an article in The New Yorker, U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham is in the mix for one of those nominations.
Sure, you have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the article to see his name … but he’s in there.
Hopefully the speculation surrounding Graham will remain just that … speculation. After all, he is one of the arch defenders of the government’s expansive spy web – meaning were he to sit on the U.S. Supreme Court we might as well erase the Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
America’s high court was created to serve as a check against the abuses and excess of the other two branches of government – not serve as a rubber stamp for them. Our founding fathers viewed it as a mechanism to protect life and liberty – not to facilitate their ongoing erosion.
Graham – and any public official who openly praises the usurpation of our most fundamental rights – must never be permitted to sit in a position of judgment over those rights.

It would be a good thing to get him out of power in SC, it would be a bad thing to think the sociopathic closeted homo would stop the government from abusing any power if he had his way.
You get so carried away sometimes that I just can’t read your stuff. Do you really think that the election of the Republican House did no good? If so, you just don’t understand the nature of the government. The House cannot do anything by itself. It can block bad legislation from going to the president for his signature, and it has done that. Compare the disastrous first two years of the administration with the last 3.5.
Winning the House in 2010 (by the Tea Party types no less) stalled the death spiral the US was on. The RINOS (Boehner) still there are joining with the Dims to try and get around even that. Thank God for the Tea Party and our way of thinking. The Constitution was what made this country great not any man or party . In 2014 we have to take back the senate and get a few more RINOs. I’m not sure how you can say the Boehner is trying to “get around” the 2010 election successes. The Tea Party brought much needed energy to the conservative movement. But a lack of political acumen is ultimately not a virtue. For example, Cruz single-handedly forced the government shutdown in the fall. This gave Obama exactly what he wanted. Cruz got a lot of publicity, but we got nothing at all out of it. In fact, the obsession of the press with the shutdown kept the Obamacare debacle off of the front pages for a couple of weeks.
Graham has turned on he people of SC and the USA so many times he can no longer be trusted. Time to go. RESTORE HONOR VOTE CONNOR.

Odds are good that the various Republican presidential candidates will repeat the clown show that was exhibited in 2012. Each one taking a few minutes of fame to highlight an extreme position from some corner of the party underscoring how the once respectable Republican party has undermined itself by inviting, first, bible driven evangelicals and then ill-informed tea party types. I doubt if this second act could produce anything as ridiculous as “999” or that real rapes do not result in pregnacies, but never say never.
The bottom line is that a democrat is more likely to be elected President in 2016 and Hillary Clinton is the most likely candidate.
He and Justice Kagan would make a cute couple. Couple of what, I’m not sure ….

Yeah, let’s take another bite out of war on lies sandwich – deregulate the banks while we’re at it just to see if they *can* fail (we owe at least that much to libertarian ideals), eliminate all spending on infrastructure, make unions illegal and end the “great society” for dessert.
“New Deal”,”Great Society”, “War on Poverty”, those weasels didn’t like peasants and negroes any more than the next guy. It was, and still is, all about getting votes.
That’s why it’s important to crystallize the desires of the people – so that when a person delivers, he’s re-elected, ,and when he doesn’t, he isn’t.
That’s the point. Liberals buy votes with taxpayer money. It’s the perfect scam, creating their own constituency. They always “deliver”.

Highly unlikely that Graham would be appointed.
Indeed it has been over forty years since a non Sitting Judge has been appointed(GWB nominated Harriet Miers a non Judge ,but she withdrew).The last sitting officeholder appointed was Earl Warren back in 1953.Reagan talked about appointing Orrin Hatch back in the eighties but decided against it,because there was a technical question as to his eligibility.
I’d rather have Graham on SCOTUS than that nut, Mike Lee, who is also on the list. Graham would probably have a better chance of being confirmed than Lee, but it is unlikely that these two would ever be appointed. What president would be that crazy?
