America’s entitlement culture is out of control. Benefits are exorbitant, fraud is rampant and there is no real effort underway to rein in the excess and abuse. As a result, 70 percent of the federal budget is devoted to “mandatory” spending – the vast majority of which is Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security.
This week – in one of the rare instances in which Medicaid fraud was identified and prosecuted – a 35-year-old South Carolinian named Truman Lewis is about to be sentenced by a federal judge.
Lewis- who along with his brother ran a “Helping Hands” youth and family services company – is a scam artist of the first order. His company was supposed to be providing mentoring services to low-income children – and received hundreds of referrals from the state’s incompetent S.C. Department of Social Services (SCDSS) to do just that.
“Helping Hands” was more interested in helping Lewis and his family, though.
Over a two-year period, the Lewises scammed Medicaid out of a whopping $8.9 million – all but $1 million of which has been blown on stuff like oceanfront condos and luxury cars (including a $90,000 Bentley).

Now Truman Lewis is playing the Jesus card in an effort to keep his jail time under six months (he and his brother could face up to 20 years).

Truman Lewis said he also wants a minimum prison sentence so he and his wife can continue to be positive influences on their four children.
“The entire family is extremely religious and attend church regularly, sometimes four to five times weekly as a family,” the court document states, adding that Truman Lewis and his wife “have a deep abiding belief in their religious convictions and are trying to pass their beliefs on to the children.”
Wait … what?
“Deeply religious?” Well, riddle us this then, Truman Lewis … what’s Exodus 20:15 say? And for that matter Exodus 20:16?

Indeed. Where was their belief in God when they were bilking the American Taxpayer. I’ve followed this story for some time. They need to go to prison and when they come out every cent that they make should go to repayment of the pilfered funds.
Dead on. Not only have they broken man’s law they have also broken God’s law. These kind of people should be made an example of every time they are caught.

Christians are so familiar with the bible, they don’t even have to know what’s in it.

Certainly the judge should take this into account during sentencing.
He should sentence them to the absolute…maximum.

According to a “Google” Truman was a Charlotte resident at some point in time. Obviously the rubes in SC made it possible for him to be very successful financially here. I find it interesting he’s black. SC might not be as racist and many would suggest.
While back read that the top two occasions when the Lord’s name is called out are:
1) by a woman at the point she is about to climax
2) by fucking cockroaches at the point they are about to be sentenced to jail
Coming in at number 3 and 4 are:

4) by taxpayers who declare they hope Goddamn cockroach sons of bitches like Truman and his fucking brother leave prison in the back of a hearse

Christians are all too willing to vote for anyone who will lie to them about their faith. They’d rather vote for a hypocrite than an honest man who doesn’t think it’s right to use religion and the flag to substitute for wit and talent.

UPDATE: Truman Lewis was sentenced 10 years while Norman Lewis received a sentence of 7-and-a-half years. The sentence was issued by United States District Judge Richard M. Gergel in Charleston on Wednesday, 19 March 2014.
Both men were also ordered to pay $3,307,967.20 in restitution to Medicaid.
Sadly there is a mentality in the “Community Organizer” class that gov’t money is infinite, owed and available to anyone who feels like helping the “At-Risk” should be given money.
This has nothing to do w/ Jesus, except the usual pop-culture penchant for bashing Him.
This is all about democrat politics, and the entitlement attitude that exists among its followers.
