A Republican Superintendent of Education candidate forum will be held on Wednesday March 19th at 6:30PM at Christ Central Community Center located at 235 S Congress St in Winnsboro.
All eight Republican candidates have been invited and the following have confirmed their attendance, Anderson County school board member Gary Burgess; former State Deputy Superintendent of Education Charmeka Childs of Blythewood; GOP activist Sheri Few of Lugoff, Charleston County School Board member Elizabeth Knowles Moffly, Lexington attorney Amy Cofield, University of South Carolina professor Don Jordan of Columbia, the Director of the State Association of School Administrators Molly Spearman.
Sally Atwater had a previous scheduled event and regrets she will not able to attend.
Those in attendance will be able to submit questions. The forum will be moderated by Fairfield County Republican Party Chairman Kevin Thomas. Questions will be taken by the audience and submitted from republicans from around the state. This event is open to the public and the media is welcome to attend.
