South Carolina’s top “Republican” establishment website is calling for the resignation of the Attorney General …

Except they’re not talking about infinitely corrupt U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder (who should have resigned a long time ago) – they’re referring to South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson, a Republican.

Heck, they’re actually asking Holder to lead an investigation into Wilson’s office …

The authors of GOPWrite.com – a website which exists to provide political cover to big-spending, anti-free market “Republicans” – are in full scale attack mode against Wilson due to his ongoing prosecution of S.C. House Speaker Bobby Harrell (RINO-Charleston).

Next to S.C. Senate finance committee chairman Hugh Leatherman, Harrell is the biggest of the Palmetto State’s big government “Republicans.”

Facing a grand jury investigation over corruption charges, Harrell’s attorneys recently demanded a secret meeting with a circuit court judge to press for Wilson’s removal from the case.

Now that legal effort is receiving some public relations support from GOPWrite.com – a website which has had Harrell’s fingerprints all over it from the very beginning.

“News surfaced just this month that Wilson took money from a registered lobbyist in 2009 and 2010, two more blatant violations of state ethics laws,” GOPWrite.com notes. “After further review from journalists it also appears that Wilson took an illegal $3,500 contribution from a Columbia law firm. These serious ethical lapses embarrass the Republican brand in South Carolina and should be investigated by the Department of Justice.”

The website calls on Wilson to “immediately resign for breaching the public trust.”

“Law breakers in South Carolina shouldn’t be policed by one of their very own,” the site concludes.

Um … really?

Then what was this?

Looks like a front by Bobby Harrell to attack Wilson.

Republican-on-Republican attacks are starting to become quite commonplace. Perhaps we should start an awareness campaign?

Awareness campaign?
——-
I started one in the 60’s – it doesn’t work. Those who become aware get all paranoid, and everyone else sees it and buys guns.

The GOP Write bunch are a bunch of RINO nutsacks, for sure. They support turds like Lindsey Grahamnasty and pseudo-pro-gun Representative Mike Pitts. As such, I have little use for them but I would concur with them on Alan Wilson needing to resign. He has done less than nothing with some of the biggest crooks this state has to offer, both Republican and Democrat. Besides that, he seems to be anti-self defense in that he fought to keep a man wrongly convicted in the shooting death of his attacker in prison, after the SC Supreme Court rightfully overturned the man’s conviction.

We don’t need any more birthright politicians running this state.

It’s mud slinging time. Only thing is, there is more mud to sling at Harrell and his corrupt lawyers and corrupt judge friends that will see them all going to federal prison. So let them attempt this way to save Harrell’s ass. I guarantee you, that it will all backfire on them and on their cronies at SLED. So bring it on, fools. Bring it the hell on …. hahahahaahahahahahaaaa!!

You can say the exact same thing and sling mud about Wilson and his corrupt lawyers and corrupt judge friends that we could see them all going to prison. So let his leaches and cronies try to save Wilson’s ass. This is going to back fire on Wilson and his scummy lawyer friends and his cronies at SLED. BTW, pass the popcorn, and watch Wilson go down in flames.
….hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!

GOPwrites:

…”It appears that House Speaker Bobby Harrell’s attorneys are catching on to what we already know about Attorney General Alan Wilson; he can’t be trusted. Wilson, the most ethically challenged man to currently hold office in South Carolina, should never be tasked with probing ethics cases.”

“Wilson’s troubles first began when he was busted in 2013 for failing to report $7,000 in contributions from House Speaker Bobby Harrell. Wilson’s failure to disclose those contributions led to an investigation which turned up another $133,000 in campaign contributions and payments that Wilson falsified leading to over 65 violations of state ethics laws.” Or as FOX News put it, “crossing legal lines.”

“It doesn’t end there. News surfaced just this month that Wilson took money from a registered lobbyist in 2009 and 2010, two more blatant violations of state ethics laws. After further review from journalists it also appears that Wilson took an illegal $3,500 contribution from a Columbia law firm. These serious ethical lapses embarrass the Republican brand in South Carolina and should be investigated by the Department of Justice.”

“Along with a DOJ investigation into the corruption surrounding the state’s top prosecutor we call on Wilson to immediately resign for breaching the public trust. Law breakers in South Carolina shouldn’t be policed by one of their very own.”

Alan Wilson and Campaign Manager, Thad Westbrook – Ethically Challenged

“Lawyers for S.C. House Speaker Bobby Harrell are secretly trying to get a state judge to remove state Attorney General Alan Wilson as the prosecutor in ongoing State Grand Jury proceedings against Harrell”

Harrell’s lawyers, who include attorneys Gedney Howe and Bart Daniel, both of Charleston, are seeking a closed-door hearing before Judge Robert Hood of Columbia to try to convince Hood to secretly remove Wilson

Wilson, in his fourth year as state attorney general, has made prosecuting public corruption cases a priority. Last year, Wilson asked the State Law Enforcement Division to investigate a complaint made against Harrell. In January, Wilson’s move to turn a SLED report containing allegations of possible wrongdoing by Harrell over to the grand jury surprised Harrell, who thought there would be no grand jury.

In January, when Wilson turned the results of the lengthy SLED investigation over to Harrell, Harrell said he was “shocked” by the move.

Harrell portrayed the move as a kind of betrayal, saying that up until then, he had been told the grand jury wouldn’t get his case.

Wilson himself has had campaign contribution irregularities.

Last May, Wilson filed amended campaign disclosure reports after an independent accountant found his campaign had failed to report 68 donations worth nearly $66,890.

The campaign manager, Thad Westbrook also said it discovered unreported payments totaling $66,797 to 16 vendors – much of which went to a pair of firms that handled television production and consulting.

Wilson did not face penalties for failing to report the contributions and expenses since he self-reported the errors and re-filed his campaign reports, the director of the S.C. Ethics Commission has said.

The unreported donations were discovered after Wilson said he had returned $7,000 in contributions tied to Harrell.

Half of the contributions came from Harrell’s campaign for Wilson’s inaugural ball. That $3,500 was listed on Harrell’s disclosure form but not on Wilson’s.

Wilson returned the $7,000, which included another $3,500 contribution from a political-action committee tied to the speaker, after the first-term Republican attorney general referred ethics complaints against Harrell to SLED last year.

FITS – you recently called on Holder to investigate Richland County – same Holder who you say is “infinitely corrupt”? what the fuck is up with you anyway? do you have a clue who Holder is? ain’t my job to defend Holder, but what the hell are you talking about?

It’s going to take someone on the Federal level to investigate Wilson’s ethics violations.

Sadly, I am losing hope that even the Federales will do right. Corrupt public officials are still in office and walking around in the free world, in Richland and Lexington counties. This despite repeated rumors circulating about one senior corrupt official’s pending indictments, coming in this month or that one.

It would appear that the system is totally dirty, from top to bottom.
