What would former S.C. Attorney General Henry McMaster look like if they made a Palmetto political version of “The Hangover” films?
Probably something like his younger brother Frank McMaster of Lexington, S.C. – who was busted late last month on charges of illegally tampering with a vehicle, discharging a firearm while under the influence of alcohol and disorderly conduct.

Pursuant to the state’s rules on lawyer disciplinary enforcement, McMaster was suspended from practicing law by the S.C. Supreme Court last week.
No word yet on what prompted the incident involving the younger McMaster … well aside from alcohol, obviously.
Henry McMaster finished third in the 2010 GOP primary for governor. Previously, he ran unsuccessfully for U.S. Senate (1986) and lieutenant governor (1990). He did win two statewide elections for Attorney General, though, and before that served four terms as chairman of the SCGOP.

Wasn’t he a state rep. in the mid 90s. I think he lost to Joel Lourie (who has recently-obtaining for a relative in seedy and democrat Richland Co.) Frank McMaster was an RQ&A creation and success.

The guy has a problem with depression. He obviously has a problem with drinking. Unless Frank gets some sort of special treatment by virtue of his last name and who is brother is, I would give him a pass and hope that he gets the treatment he obviously needs.
I love Frank. He’s a great guy. Jean would not have suspended him if he was a Democrat. Good Gawd Almighty, Jean didn’t suspend either Dwaine Herring or Richard Breibart as quickly as she jumped on ole Frank. There is more to this story according to the most reliable sources on Divine.
