“ERRBODY IN … FOR THE WIN!”
Chris Christie – the fiscally liberal, scandal-scarred governor of New Jersey and establishment GOP choice for president – received a standing ovation at a so-called “conservatives” gathering in Maryland this week.
“We don’t get to govern if we don’t win,” Christie told the crowd at the so-called Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). “Let’s come out of this conference resolved to win elections again.”
Ah yes … “electability.” When have “Republicans” touted that before? Right … in 2008 and 2012.
Oh … and how is that GOP “governance” of the U.S. House of Representatives working out?
Yeah … not so well.
Christie – one of eight “Republican” governors to embrace U.S. President Barack Obama’s Medicaid expansion plans – offered up plenty of rhetorical red meat for his impressionable audience, at one point lecturing them on the “cold, hard hand of government.” Of course he then proceeded to warmly embrace Obama’s global interventionist foreign policy, saying America could not permit “other countries to run us over all over the world.”
Just what we need … another “War God.”
This website has taken a dim view of Christie – and that was before his big George Washington Bridge scandal broke earlier this year (the New Jersey governor is facing federal and state investigations over that controversy, by the way).
“Christie is a fatter version of Mitt Romney, a younger version of John McCain and a straighter version of Lindsey Graham – which means he’s no friend of the free market, your liberties or your tax dollars,” we wrote earlier this year.

Well actually Gov. Christie, I’d instead argue that you don’t actually govern anyway if your sole focus is on winning… values, ethics, and morals be d@mned.
I’ll bet when he takes a dump he always has to flush twice and isn’t really able to wipe well, if at all. If he goes on the campaign trail kissing babies he’ll probably give them all E.Coli.
Since the government got involved with toilets there’s a lot of flushing twice going on.
Kudos on Mr. Creosote. LOL
Like so many of the mushy middle moderates his core beliefs are what the polls say that particular day. After McCain and Romney the country needs a real leader that actually believes in something. Stand with Rand 2016 and in 2014 RESTORE HONOR VOTE CONNOR.
Connor as Senator would support a President Pauls non interventionist foreign policy?Yeh RIiiiiight,
He would support intervention ONLY when America’s interests are involved.
Name one politician who has ever favored intervention when “America’s interests” were not involved?
I guess we will never know what Connor will do, as he has absolutely no chance to be elected to anything.
I often wonder if your absolute refusal to make electability a factor in making your electoral choices, is not a realization that one of your political persuasion could not be elected dog catcher.
Since one of your fellow travelers has mentioned Connor’s, it is obvious he also considers electability an overrated concept.
He’s toast. We must have a Conservative. Liberaltarians are losers in 08 and 12…..and look how bad a job the democrat did…and the liberaltarian still lost…
Toast is too healthy, fritters are more his style.
Hey, I’m your man!
Whasssssssup?!?!
He’s about to extend his index finger to indicate where the sub sandwich needs to go.
Get in mah belly!
We don’t get to cause traffic jams if we don’t win, right?
Like watching the phoney, fop Mitch McConnell holding a rifle over his head is any better than Christie. Not sure which is worse…the circus clowns who parade on stage at this circle jerk or the half-wits who cheer them on.
“Christie is a fatter version of Mitt Romney, a younger version of John McCain and a straighter version of Lindsey Graham – which means he’s no friend of the free market, your liberties or your tax dollars,”
Word.
We should all get behind Christie and give him the support Senator Graham gives him. Senator Graham is a real American who supports Christie, and we all should too. And Christie knows how to handle a hurricane – you know Hugo won’t be the last to destroy the low country. Let’s throw our weight around and get behind Christie – a true conservative – just like Senator Graham.
Christe and Graham, Like two RINOS errrr peas in a pod. Now if we could get Graham to move to NJ we could elect a REAL Republican. RESTORE HONOR VOTE CONNOR.
why does this remind me of the “trophy mouth” from Spartanburg?
Beltram? Beltram?
Chris Christie is not a bad dude, but I’d much rather listen to these Jersey Boyiees, Alright, Alright!
