ESPN and DISH have reached a deal to carry the SEC Network when it launches on August 14 of this year, the conference announced – making the satellite network the first nationwide provider of the latest college sports “multi-platform.”

“The deal is part of a larger comprehensive long-term distribution agreement announced by DISH and the Walt Disney Company,” the conference said in a statement.

And yes … that sound you hear is literally billions of dollars going into the pockets of everybody involved.

Well … with the exception of the athletes providing the content, obviously.

Anyway, each year during its 20-year agreement the SEC Network will broadcast 45 football games, 100 men’s basketball games, 60 women’s basketball games, and 75 baseball games. It will also feature studio programs and a feature show hosted by sports reporter Paul Finebaum.

All subscribers will pay. If you get ESPN you will pay for it whether you want it or not.

Conspiracy? No conspiracy theory here. But with the Dish network, will your TV now have “SEC quality”? And really..could Jesse Palmer keep an announcing job had he not been a Florida QB?

Jesse does just fine, you are just a butthurt Tiger that still cries over what he said about your team on TV. #Clemsoning.
Would you rather see William Perry do the games?

I thought he was a tool bag long before that. An appearance on the Bachelor and Ill fitting short neck ties on national TV proved he was a dooshnozzle.

Jesse Palmer = #SECQUALITY

He said #Clemsoning and #theygaveup70intheorangebowl #theyareoverrated, all on national TV Then all you Taters wrote a petition to try to get a public apology. #NOWTHATSFUNNY

I never signed nor saw any petitions.

He was on The Bachelor.

I’m not sure anything else needs to be said.
