Winter Olympics just suck.
Ice dancing? You call that a sport?
Football is the only winter sport I give a damn about.
Not that I care that much for Ice dancing but it would be a kick to see football plays doing it.
america’s worst characteristic is it’s TV olympic coverage. it has always been beyond awful. they don’t trust the sports or fans. they are certain that we would rather see touchy feelies about the athlete’s back stories.
Every athlete has overcome so much. If none of your parents are dead, they’ll find a grandparent, aunt, distant cousin, teacher, dog, cat, whatever it takes to show you overcame something to be good at a sport.
If it weren’t for the fucked up X-Games events the US would have been down there with Nigeria in the medal count. If it has the words “snowboard” or “half-pipe” in the event it needs to be eliminated from the next winter games.

No Olympic “sport” should be judged. If you want to be judged, enter a dance contest or an art show.
That includes gymnastics, diving, etc. in the summer games. If you can’t time it or measure it, it shouldn’t be in the Olympics. If they want to see who can dive from the highest platform that would be a legit event.

So many traditional events are seeing a loss of interest…
Liberal have so politicized and polluted everything from the Grammy Awards to sports, it’s difficult to stomach. the Olympics are no different…
On top of that, we exalt people based on race, liberalism, homosexuality or gender…there is not any merit in anything.
When good people, and character are taken out of life…the people know it…and they will not accept what pop culture has down to water-down our society…

…and why did the other networks show reruns the whole time the Olympics were on? The media and networks need to realize that there is a sizable percentage of Americans that don’t give a damn about watching sports of any type.
It’s not that it’s hard to cheer for America, it’s hard to cheer for vastly overpaid professional athletes or college athletes that are pampered and spoiled and kept secure from the real world. Athletes really aren’t important, never have been, never will be. If every athlete in the world, professional or amateur, were to drop dead tonight come morning the world will continue on without missing a step.
