SEVERAL PALMETTO LAWMAKERS FEATURED IN BIZARRELY AWFUL CLIP
I’m only about four episodes into the second season of Netflix’s groundbreaking political drama, House of Cards.
Is it as good as the first season? So far, no (in my humble opinion). But it’s still head and shoulders above anything else that’s on television … and it’s certainly better than a ridiculous effort by six real lawmakers to channel the series’ star, Francis Underwood (played by Kevin Spacey).
What’s the point of this NowThis News video starring U.S. Sen. Tim Scott and Reps. Kevin McCarthy, Jim Clyburn, Trey Gowdy, Donna Edwards and Jeff Duncan?
Not sure … but Scott, Duncan and Gowdy should probably stick to their day jobs.
Clyburn?
He should probably be put out to pasture … you know … before he accidentally sends some pork to the wrong congressional district again.

Its our elected members passionately talking past us, that’s what it is. Great-sounding words (with little meaning) delivered with calculated passion, combined with entrusted power (and now this newly bestowed glamor status)….conveying to public that they are about to do something great and spectacular for public good….only the public good never comes. Excuses come in abundance.

There is no way on Gods green earth that ANYTHING on television today will ever compare to my preffered shows. Rifelman, Emergency, Addams Family, Munsters. That’s damn good TV. Little house on the prarie, Bonanza, Golden girls. WTH is so good about a bad house of cards. XP

W, Ya couldn’t be more spot on, for the most part… as we believe this partie deux is as good as it gets… Kudos also to the Revenge series, of course we watch both on NetFlix less the network BS… Starting partie deux over again right now. Oh, great threesome involving the usual suspects towards the end so you need to step it up…
