MICK MULVANEY, AT YOUR SERVICE

We’ve never had a problem with do-nothing Congresses (the less they do, the better as far as we’re concerned), but assuming you’re in search of some productivity from your lawmaker … have we got a story for you.

Pictured above is U.S. Rep. Mick Mulvaney, who decided to break out the snow plow for his neighbors in Indian Land, S.C. – a town near the North Carolina-South Carolina border that was hit with several inches of snow from Winter Storm Pax.

Good thing Mulvaney was Johnny on the spot, too … as there’s no telling when the Palmetto State’s competency-challenged Department of Transportation (SCDOT) would have gotten around to it …

One of the few bona fide pro-free market Republicans in Washington, D.C. – it looks as though Mulvaney is also one of the few lawmakers with a legitimate interest in helping the people he represents.

Props, Congressman …

FITS HATES government as an avowed Liberal-Tarian…

He sings the mantra of INDIVIDUALISM…..All the while B!*ching because the “Palmetto State’s competency-challenged Department of Transportation (SCDOT)” won’t come clear his drive, because he’s too lazy, or too stupid, to do it himself…

Any wonder he have Obama in the White House despite his total failure…

Liberal-Tarians HATE government, which is exactly why they support Obama’s big government policies, or something.

SparkleCity February 12, 2014 at 8:27 pm

Well Queen Namrata asked and that is a fact so she must have proved your point

I sure hope Obama declares some type of executive shit to extend his term to 2020.

It would be worth it just to turds like you go apeshit.

BTW:

I’m drinking hot buttered rum & watching Curling on the Olympics. My trusty ol’ Kerosun Omni 85 (circa 1980) is putting out ~13,000 BTU’s and the generator is standing by here in Norhtern Spartanburg County!!!

About 2 inches of snow so far (not the 4-8 inches that the alarmists on Fox 21 (our local CONSERVATIVE TV channel) were predicting!!!!!

just sayin is all February 13, 2014 at 4:50 am

Where exactly is Norhtern – or have you been at the hot buttered rum all day?

SparkleCity February 13, 2014 at 8:40 am

Started around 6 PM last night. But it is mainly due to an old keyboard that has had its share of stuff spilled onto it (or my semi-arthritic fingers)

Thanks for catching the typo though…….

We are probably up to a world shaking amount of 4 inches here (~10 miles away from Glassy & Hogback Mountains)

Definitely not the “Day After Tomorrow” scenario played out by the local media that’s fer sure

We did have a no-shit blizzard around here back in ’87 or ’88. It shut down I-85 for a few days (the National Guard found a guy dead in his car = heart attack if I remember correctly) and we were without power or water for about a week. I think Campbell was gov at the time.

We got by then (took showers at work, brought drinking water in, had the trusty ‘ol Omni 85 {which you can cook on if you have to – it’s great for stews, soup, etc plus a Coleman camp stove} without the damn hype that is so prevalent now.

To take a line from a Hank Jr. song:

A MODERATE CAN SURVIVE!!!!!

Plus I’m a West by God Virginian by birth and upbringing – not some South Carolinian that freaks out at the sign of the first snowflake……….

Watch out for the tires on your cars, he will be after those with his teeth in them next. Hates everyone, everything, and is a man without a country. Pathetic.

We others, among the reasonably literate, cannot all be the ingenuous Berg, razor-edged and cutting from 1000 unpredictable angles, but we can tower above the munchkin dregs — Tango’s sidewalk-psychotic screechings, the simpleton struttings of the tea partiers…

We are better than them . . . we one and all . . . and they one and all.

Better as posters . . . better as people.

They . . . the GOPdopers and teabaggers –in, and indeed, verily of the sewer–have as their natural place a level far beneath us.

It took forever to get rid of John Spratt and then they redrew the district lines and took me out of his district. A very good man it appears.

Reply
Jack Spratt could eat no fat February 12, 2014 at 5:06 pm

I wrote a letter to Spratt while I was in his district, imploring him not to vote for TARP as it set a dangerous precedent.

The response was a canned letter saying that though he was getting a large number of letters like mine that he was going to do it because he thought it was best for the economy.

Of course, his aides were hiding the fact his mind was turning to mush a la the end of Reagan’s second term, I had to find out personally when encountering him at a local county function and I realized that we had an utter imbecile in office that was being told what to do by his own aides. Democracy is wonderful.

That was the kicker for me. Every time I wrote to Spratt, I got some response telling me why I was wrong and he was right. Some representation. That was the first time I was ever mobilized to try to vote someone OUT of office, and it may be the only reason I ever vote again.

Obviously you are not aware that there is not a single subcompact (Like my Kubota BX-2300) or a compact tractor (i.e., the Kubota pictured) MADE in the USA.

They are usually assembled in the US but not MADE in the USA. Alll the major components are made in Japan or somewhere else in Asia

Not John Deere,Ford, Massey Ferguson, Cub Cadet, etc.

Only the big agricultural shit is made in the USA (big John Deere’s,etc.)

Wish that was not the case but that is how it goes

“We no longer feature a “Letters to the Editor” section. We felt it was high time to drop the pretense of looking as though we respect the thoughts of the grunting gaggle of inarticulate orangutans which call themselves “the public”. It’s also high time other
newspaper editors came clean too.

If you feel you simply have to express yourselves, spray-paint it on the side of a boxcar or a nice building as usual. Just remember, “I” comes before “e” except after “c” and “Casablanca” isn’t a country, you TV brain-mushed ambulatory vacuum tubes.”

A Letter from Comcast and Time Warner Cable

Dear subscribers,

Today, it was announced that Comcast is joining forces with Time Warner Cable in a friendly acquisition worth $45 billion. As we could have expected, many people are wondering what this transaction will mean to the service that you, our subscribers, will enjoy.

We know that all of your comments, however mean-spirited some of them may have been, have come from a good place: genuine concern about what this merger will mean for your future cable service. At Comcast/Time Warner, we care deeply about those concerns, and, to help allay them, here are some answers to the Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.s) we have received since the merger was announced.

Q: How will the merger affect the price of my cable service?

A: There is no clear answer to that. But we will be introducing financing options, roughly similar to those that enabled you to attend college.

Q: Will there be any adverse impact on customer service?

A: A technician will be at your home between the hours of eight and never.

Q: How frequently will you turn off the Internet, and are you going to deliberately crush Netflix by making it impossible to stream its movies?

A: Often and probably.

Q: I am a current Time Warner subscriber. Who will be handling customer complaints, Comcast or Time Warner?

A: Please address all complaints to Comcast/Time Warner Customer Service, 666 Noonethere Lane, Abysstown, U.S.A.

Q: I have been on hold for the past hour, and no one seems to be picking up. How long can I expect to wait?

A: Due to concern about the merger, we are experiencing longer-than-expected wait times. In the meantime, eat me.

Sincerely,

Comcast/Time Warner Cable
