ADMINISTRATION WANTS MORE AMERICANS TO RELY ON GOVERNMENT
By Rick Manning || Unemployment numbers from the Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics took center stage last week as economic movers and shakers moved hundreds of millions of dollars in capital assets based upon the report.
This is business as usual.
In related news, the Congressional Budget Office found that Obamacare’s implementation will lead to 2.3 million Americans leaving the workforce in the years ahead for a variety of reasons.
The Obama Administration’s reaction to the report is the real economic story of the week and perhaps of the entire five years of this presidency. Rather than chagrin, Jason Furman, chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers, argued that this is a good thing, and the Administration is touting the report as showing that the deservedly maligned health care law is helping people work less due to being unburdened by concerns over health care.
Yes, believe it or not, Team Obama truly believes that people deciding that they would be better off relying upon the government for their sustenance rather than self-sufficiency is viewed as a good thing for our nation’s economic well-being.
This underlying philosophical framework explains how the Obama appointees at the U.S. Department of Agriculture justified spending taxpayer dollars to convince working Americans to enroll in the food stamp program. After all if McDonalds can tout billions and billions served, why can’t the Obama Administration celebrate having sixteen million more people enrolled in the Food Stamp program than when he took office?

If Obama wanted dependency, why pass up single payer, or even a public option? Oh yeah, because Manning works for ALG and ALG is full of shit. Also:

“If Obama wanted dependency, why pass up single payer”
Hmmmm….that’s a pretty dangerous statement to make. I’ll bet you’ll regret that in 5-10 years or so….then there’s the whole Alinsky strategy of progression thing or the Sunstein “nudge” angle too….
I’ll bet we’ll be visiting single payer if the whole party doesn’t blow up before they can jam it down everyone’s throats.

POORLY EDUCATED AND LIED TO, BLACKS AT UCLA CALL CORRECTING THEIR GRAMMAR AND PUNCTUATION RACIST
FEBRUARY 10, 2014 COACH COLLINS
by Kevin “Coach” Collins
It’s hard to figure out what to make of the people in this story. Should these people be laughed at or pitied?
Recently a group of 25 self-described “Students of Color” held a sit-in to support poor English writing skills. They whined about the “racism” of being offered constructive criticism of their lack of grammar, spelling and punctuation abilities.
As products of dysfunctional government schools, many if not all of them have little or no writing skill. Many of them don’t know they have no writing skills. They have been lied to and had their heads patted so often by paternalistic liberals they can no longer recognize the truth about their shortcomings.
We can expect little else from students who have never been dealt with honestly.
What makes this situation still more ridiculous is that the target of their protest was a professor of Education and Information. Apparently the poorly educated students who registered for this course expected more lies and head pats rather than actual instruction. Claiming to be, “aggrieved minority students,” these spoiled brats proved they haven’t enough brains to realize the value of authentic education.
Using the psycho-babble phrase “micro-aggression” to characterize the professor’s “insulting” act, the Black spoiled brats issued a statement which was likely written by someone who was not offended by being taught how to construct a few sentences in standard American English. Reading their childishly injected “big” words certainly makes the point that most of them don’t get it.
They said, “A hostile campus climate has been the norm for Students of Color in this class throughout the quarter as our epistemological and methodological commitments have been repeatedly questioned by our classmates and our instructor. The barrage of questions by white colleagues and the grammar ‘lessons’ by the professor have contributed to a hostile class climate.”
The likely “cherry on top” of this story is the probability that the professor is a liberal (this IS UCLA after all) who comes from the same “educational” approach that created these spoiled “Students of Color” who cry racism when someone tries to teach them something. They are actually so poorly educated they can’t conceive of anything else to yell but “racist.” Hey they’ve watched it work before!
Yeah.. and gays are plotting to turn little boys into homosexuals, and teachers are making children into communists, and the devil is trying to make us all pagans.
You actually got part of that rant right. Keep trying you will get there.
Yeh and the part he got right is why that goofball you’re supporting for the U S Senate is going to get his ass whipped in a few months.
Ass whipped by an ass wipe, never can tell.
Pretty soon now, the boys in the white coats are going to show up to take away my parody.
Since when is this news? I recall LBJ saying something to the affect that the Great Society would have blacks voting Democrat for the next two hundred years. Might as well get everybody else in the same trap. A dependent society is an obedient society. The threat of removing the food stamps, welfare check etc. has a resounding ring at the ballot box. We may have gone to a point of no return in this country already.
Pretty soon they are going to run out of other peoples money to spend…Oh wait, they already have! Time to print some more!
Whenever I hear someone make a snide comment about the president, it’s a sign that they depend on the president for something. This happens regardless of who’s in office- I’d bet dollars to donuts that Bush’s goal was dependency as well. Individuals depend on the office of the presidency far too much in this country, then they get upset when the president has too much power. If you didn’t give the office that much power over your life in the first place, we wouldn’t have this problem.
If Obama wanted dependency, he would go the Republican route. Especially the Howard Rich route; i.e. take away education, demonize unions, and leave the elderly, sick and children without resources except charity provided by the wealthy. Only people who are uneducated and unorganized are dependent. The Republican model pushed by Koch, Rich, etc, is to make people dependent on their employer for food, clothing, and shelter, eliminate their opportunity to take risks, and their mobility. That way the mega-wealthy can regain the threat of of leaving people homeless and starving, which has kept certain segments of industrialized society in check for most of history.
I blame myself and Fritz Hollings. In 1980, didn’t he say that Social Security had all the money we paid into it in a “lock box?” Seems he did. And now that we know it was a lie, people still think Democrats are not thieves. But what Fritz said is so much more than a lie, because we ALL trusted him. We create our own dependency when we trust before researching fact.
Obama wants dependency…. Corporations want dependency…. Oh, wait, corporations run the government….
