… MUST BE GLOBAL WARMING
According to The Weather Channel, “a potentially major winter storm” is bearing down on the Deep South this week … extending what has already been an exceedingly chilly season. The system is expected to bring “a swath of frozen and freezing precipitation” as far south as Charleston, S.C. and Savannah, Georgia – two cities which have issued winter storm watches for the first time since February 2010.
So in the immortal, oft-repeated words of the local radio announcers from Groundhog Day, “don’t forget your booties cause it’s cold out there …”
As was the case during the recent “Polar Vortex,” we suspect a loud debate will soon begin as to whether this latest Arctic blast has anything to do with global warming … or, as is increasingly the case, global non-warming.
As it relates to that debate let’s get something out of the way up front: It is impossible to argue with a global warming supporter. How come? Because every weather pattern they witness proves their point. Hot summer? Global warming. Mild summer? Global warming. Warm winter? Global warming. Frigid winter? Global warming. Whatever the thermostat is doing – and for however long it does it – supporters of global warming see nothing but the validation of their belief.
That’s cult-like behavior, people.
Anyway, according to the latest data from NASA the global warming “pause” that began seventeen years ago continued in 2013.
Wait … what? Global warming has been on hold for nearly two decades? That’s right …
Meanwhile as of October 2013, Antarctic sea ice extent was at its highest level in recorded history – putting a continental-sized crimp in the whole “polar ice caps are melting” theory.
Miss this information? Of course you did … the data was virtually ignored by the mainstream media, which has been parroting global warming propaganda for years (roughly as long as global warming has been on hiatus, actually).

Don’t get us wrong: This website supports market-based conservation and environmental protection. We believe in the Biblical notion of stewardship … and embrace the scientific discovery of new technologies which maximize efficiency and renewability. But that process must be driven by the private sector, not government – as the ill-fated ethanol experiment has laid bare.

There are also indices that we may be heading into another Maunder Minimum with regards to Solar activity. The original Maunder Minimum, a few hundred years ago, was associated with cooler temperatures in Europe and elsewhere.

I really hope you aren’t one of those people who, like Limbaugh, believe that the polar vortex thing was invented by the liberal media to defend global warming, even though Al Roker showed a book from the ’50s that laid out a description of the very same phenomenon.
Also, the Antarctic ice isn’t the polar ice that has been disappearing. The polar ice that has been melting over the past decades is in the northern hemisphere and is still disappearing. You’re on the wrong side of the planet, buddy.
I’m not one for global warming alarmism and I see the damage that programs like cap and trade can do, but I don’t buy this “global warming isn’t happening” bullshit that Republicans who take checks from fossil fuel industries drone on about. I think both sides are full of shit and we should be focusing on making as little impact to our environment as possible, as well as reducing our energy consumption and dependencies on non-renewable sources across the board in any and every way possible. I lean pretty conservative, but let’s be honest, the “it’s cold now, therefore global warming is disproved’ is a pretty dumb argument. Look at the historical temperature averages. Example- St. Louis used to get below 0 degrees several times a year. It got below 0 this year for the first time since the 1990s.

What you notice is weather – the issue is climate. There are three perspectives:
1. Man’s activities are causing the climate to change

In order to blame global warming on humans one must ignore
the impact of volcanoes (above and below sea level), natural methane leaks from
numerous lakes, nature caused forest fires (all over the world, we’ll ignore
man caused forest fires for this discussion) and the affects of sunspot
activity as well as other natural CO2 sources. I remember being taught that
there were at least three ice ages in the North American continent before man
could even generate enough CO2 to kill a single Tyrannosaurus Rex. Couple this
with the fact that these global warming alarmists won’t share methodologies or
computer models for outside peer review (read the hacked emails that they were
working to keep this information from their peers), moving data points (one
report I read said they dropped 2,000 of 6,000 world wide data points without
adjusting past data for the same dropped data points) and to top it all off one
of today’s chief global warming alarmists was a global cooling alarmist in the
late 70s early 80s (can’t remember his name but he was one whose emails were
hacked, talked about having to make treaties with Mexico to start moving
Americans down there). No, you can’t convince me with this garbage that, if
real – big if, global warming is being caused by or even substantially
contributed to by humans and anyone who is convinced is just wanting something
to be scared of.
Why is it either or? To say that human’s do not contribute to the issue is just not true. We are harming this planet. That said, I’m not running scared. I’ll be dead and gone when the final destruction happens.
The very existence of winter proves global warming is a hoax.
