SC SPEAKER “DISAPPOINTED AND SHOCKED” BY “SUDDEN CHANGE OF COURSE”
S.C. Speaker of the House Bobby Harrell (RINO-Charleston) issued the following statement in response to a decision today by S.C. Attorney General Alan Wilson to send his corruption case to a statewide grand jury:
“It is disappointing that the Attorney General notified the press before contacting my attorneys or me about this decision.
“This decision contradicts every indication that SLED and the Attorney General’s Office have given us on the progress of this investigation. I have cooperated fully and voluntarily with this investigation, provided access to everything they requested and met with investigators for several interviews.
“At every stage of this investigation it was reiterated to us that investigators have found no areas of concern. Given every indication we have received from SLED and the Attorney General, I am disappointed and shocked by this sudden change of course.
“This has drawn on for far too long and been done behind closed doors. I call on the Attorney General to immediately release the entire SLED report to the public. This report contains the facts of this matter, facts that have been kept from the public and even kept from my attorneys and me.”

Bobby is soooooo transparent, and open-door, with all his various scurrilous dealings. I did not realize the AG had to notify the target of a grand jury about the fact he was a target of the grand jury. I would love to see the SLED report too, one thing I agree with him.
…and since when do criminal (or potentially criminal, anyway) investigations by a state law enforcement agency NOT take place “behind closed doors?” From what planet does this guy hail?

It amazes me that he is shocked in how this is going down. Keel and Haley are tight and he is directed in the direction she wants him to be focused. Wilson a puppet in the middle. The part that is realy funny, is he is amazed that the SLED agents lied through the entire investigation to get him to self incriminate himself.
