Camden, SC – Sheheen for South Carolina today announced that it raised more than $1.6 million in just nine months in 2013 and ended the fourth quarter with more than $1.368 million in the bank.
The campaign raised $458,760.36 in the fourth quarter from 1,309 contributors, showing impressive grassroots support with an average contribution of less than $300. The strong response from South Carolinians this quarter brings the campaign fundraising total to over $1.636 million since its start in April, with approximately 90 percent of contributions coming from within South Carolina.
“The outpouring of support for Vincent has been strong and only continues to grow as South Carolinians demand real accountability and look for new leadership in their government,” said Andrew Whalen, Campaign Manager for Sheheen for South Carolina. “South Carolinians deserve a government that works and works for them. They support Vincent’s vision for the future and have seen his ability to deliver results instead of excuses.”
The fourth quarter disclosure report has been filed and is now available online at ethics.sc.gov.

Kickbacks from Obamacare and Green Energy!
Kickbacks from GA and Cadmium deposits for SC!
Bwahahahah, plus 10 on the Ga comment….
A high-quality public education system is the key to South Carolina’s long-term economic success
Fix the income tax: To restore balance to the system, the state should adjust income tax brackets for the 21st century, enact a refundable earned income tax credit to give low-income people a reward for working, eliminate millions of special-interest income tax giveaways and get rid of corporate income tax loopholes that keep eight of nine corporate filers from paying corporate income tax.
Saving Money and Improving Energy Efficiency: South Carolina has a huge stock of older homes and mobile homes that are incredibly energy inefficient. As governor, Vincent will work to create a state revolving loan fund to partner with power companies and homeowners to perform energy efficiency renovations. These renovations would save homeowners money by reducing power bills, power companies would conserve energy production, and thousands of jobs would be created as local businesses and contractors worked to re-insulate homes, replace antiquated heating and power units, and other energy efficiency remodeling was conducted.
Investing in Sustainable Energy Production: Now is the time for South Carolina to step forward as a leader in clean, sustainable energy production. Sustainable energy technology in the Palmetto State has the potential to generate thousands of jobs and attract millions of dollars in capital investment. In the next decade alone, we could create more than 30,000 jobs directly by attracting clean-energy companies or supporting homegrown ones. Add to that the tens of thousands of additional jobs that will be created in industries that support clean energy, and there’s a tremendous ripple effect.
At least he acknowledges there’s an environment.
I wish the people had the money to help, but sadly, the R power money always rules in SC. I signed papers today for a new job, noticed a side note for SC employees only. I agree to work at will, and can be terminated anytime for any reason. I ask myself why do we even have elections in this state ? Power money from outside the state always controls us, not to mention the republican clan. I will recieve a good sum of money when a relative passes, I’m thinking Northwest.
congratulations on the new job.
Thanks max. I had to sign papers ( for SC employees only ) that mean I can be fired anytime, or reason, but it is a job.
I’ve got some boxes you can have…
Thank you, and I mean that.
He hasnt got a prayer.Haley has the (R) by her name.
Whats will be amusing is, as the election draws nearer, watching all these non Republican Republicans here after bashing Nikki for the past three years or so,meekly return to the folld muttering about Obama,Harry Reid, lawyers etc etc.
You have that part right, on the non republican republicans, but it won’t be amusing seeing her screw us more than she has.
Did anyone notice on The State coverage regarding fundraising that barley 50% of Haley’s total contributions came from people in SC?
Remember when you see all those pro-Haley ads in a few months that total ignore her abject failure as governor that they were paid for with out of state money.
DUH, how did she get elected in the first place?
I have known her for 20 years. She only cares about money and personal advancement. She is reptilian in her quest for her needs.
I could overlook so much if I thought she had the slightest interest in helping the people of this state. But she has none.
Sheheen is the only chance this state has for the next 4 years, otherwise Haley is going to siphone all she can to her next job from the hardworking people of this state.
Vinny is simply the puppet of the white elite SC ole time Democratic Party establishment. Alex Sanders, Inez and Sam Tenenbaum, Dick Harpootlian, Jean Hoefer Toal, are the most notable names. Don’t forget his good old Uncle Bob. They pull his strings. It was hell for Jim Hodges trying to make and keep them all happy, happy.
When are you going to tell us who you are supporting in the chief justice of the Supreme Court, Vinny? Street talk is you are squirming. You will be held accountable for a Toal vote. We are ready for that one.
Fortunately Haley handlers and should owners live in Georgia
