To say our recent post on Clemson University head coach Dabo Swinney generated some interest is an understatement. The column – in which our founding editor provided some context for Swinney’s recent trash talk about the University of South Carolina – has gotten nearly 600 comments (and counting).

Anyway, in addition to the barrage of published responses we’ve also received several submissions in the wake of the Swinney column.
Our favorite? Some “constructive criticism” from an anonymous reader in which our founding editor is invited “to stop being such a whiny little bitch.”
But we also were forwarded a funny “Clemson Fan Butthurt Form” and the following illustration (via The Rubber Chicken Blog) …

Uh oh, I see a mistake. That Clemson fan in the comic mentioned their last BCS appearance. That’s a big no-no considering what the score ended up being!

Bigger Question: Why is FITS so timidly avoiding the announcement that players are BOLTING Clemson in droves. When USC has players declaring early…FITS, and all the local media, crap all over itself w/ predictions of doom (that never culminate)…
Last week FITS was soiling his panties w/ excitement w/ the “Bombshell” that Bruce may get drafted….

Those posts to the response would almost all be from that oh so classy bunch of Clemson fans at Coots Beak on Facebook. They have so much class over there, and would never say anything disrespectful ever and untrue ever. They are the classiest bunch of people around. They wouldn’t even make up stats that have nothing to do with the outcome of a game or season and claim they are the best even though nothing about what happened this season or the last 5 show that to be true..
