We’ve lost track of how many times the Greenville, S.C. Republican Party has censured liberal U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham – but it happened again this week.
What makes this censure different? It was issued less than a month after three Tea Party leaders publicly disassociated themselves with the Greenville GOP – a move which should have shifted the ideological orientation of the organization to the left.
Apparently even the new “centrist” party is still livid with the left-leaning Graham, though. According to the group’s latest resolution, Graham has engaged “repeatedly in a course of conduct that violates fundamental principles of the South Carolina Republican Platform, even after such actions have been publicly called to his attention.”
The censure goes on to say Graham has “committed a long series of actions” that are “fundamentally inconsistent with the principles of the South Carolina Republican Party” – and concludes Graham “should be replaced as Senator for the State of South Carolina at the earliest possible electoral opportunity.”
We’re not Republicans and so we could give a rat’s rear end regarding the “principles of the GOP,” but we concur wholeheartedly with the conclusion that Graham should be replaced.
The resolution lists twenty-nine examples of Graham’s inconsistency with the GOP platform – including his support of the National Security Agency’s domestic spying program, his vote in favor of a massive new internet tax, his interventionist warmongering in Syria and of course his support of U.S. President Barack Obama’s radical enviro-liberal agenda.

You know what works better than a useless censure? Someone beating him in the primary.
Shit Happens
…the principles of the South Carolina Republican Party
*snort*
Yawn….
I don’t like Lindsey. But, I have never seen such a list of votes this simple bunch supports that would seem to be to the personal detriment of most of them.
You know people have a bad dose of ideology when it causes them to support positions that hurt them.
And, their complaints go back nearly 10 years…
C’mon Nit!
If they passed a law that took all your assets and gave them to me…and I opposed it on principle—would you really think LESS of TBG?

Hmmm —- I never would have guessed that the GrandTangerine has an “off”-spring……..
Rape?
The “off”-spring most likely being a Clementiny (yes, this is the world’s smallest fruit)!
We used to call them “Beanie”
I have no idea what got this guy elected in the first place. Is the state so backward they can’t do better than Lindsey Graham?
He talks out of both sides of his mouth.
When a new issue comes along, he goes on camera, or makes a press release that many times, anyone would think came from a sane man. Then he “reconsiders” and goes bozo for some reason anyone would think was insane.
He’s satisfied to be unprincipled.
The current “wisdom” of the Republican party is to let the AM radio stations dictate their talking points, and to hell with the people and the country.
No, I’m not saying the people here have it right… shit, this place seems like one of our chili cook offs out here in Texas – a buck-toothed wiggledy-eyed fetish for the tea party platform… willing to put up with totally fucked-up ideas intended to roll back the clock to a time that never existed… anti-contraception for Christ’s sake! (literally!) Since when did South Carolina go Catholic????
There’s not a lot of depth in the analysis – it’s mainly red marks for spending money, and lavish praise for refusing to – no matter what the target. Economics isn’t a very richly debated subject, is it?
Graham shows me in the same way George Bush showed me – people play politics like they watch sports. They don’t give a damn who gets injured, or even whether they lose money, as long as they’re loyal to “their team,” whatever inch-deep platform it might be.
Talk radio is on FM out here, pardner. Even the Blue Blood media is crazy as hell.
…”buck-toothed wiggledy-eyed…”
Holy shit dude; peed myself…
The other day I was chit chatting with a friend about one his old college buddies, Lee Atwater.
Way back when they were bored one afternoon and someone suggested they head to a Klan rally on the edge of town. Eh, why not? It was something to do. It had to be more interesting than the dorm and Lee had gotten a little cash from showing stag reels in another student’s room. So they got some beer, grabbed a few blankets, borrowed a few cars and off they went.
Of course the fun didn’t last very long. The Klansmen were kinda stupid and after a few beers, some of the guys started heckling. What were these faggy college boys doing here and how did they have the gall to say these things? Lee and a few friends tried to talk the Klansmen down, but there was no point in it. The Klansmen were just dumb, loud, angry, and had no interest in listening to any other view point. So they abandoned the blankets and beer and got out of there as fast as they could.
It was an epiphany for Lee. You don’t talk them down. You don’t reason. You don’t empathize. You don’t make them laugh. You can’t disarm them. There is only one option, you challenge them. They like racism or whatever else? Cool, just make them question whether or not they are the real racists. Too bad he hadn’t thought of that earlier, he would still have had the beer.
Atwater once told me that he saved Reagan by planting rumors that Connally was bribing black preachers. Connally spent $10 million and only got one delegate. He said that one tactic bought Reagan South Carolina.
He had some of the purest LSD I’d ever seen. He even had the assayer’s report showing 99.7% purity. We went to a bluegrass festival one summer, and the first one awake put a tab in the other one’s mouth.
It’s stunning to imagine American history if Reagan had lost that primary.
Lee Bright 2014! http://www.brightforsenate.com/
Story likely to appear on Drudge. It if does, Graham gets fried.
Fitsnews,
We’re not Republicans, we just vote for Republicans, work for Republicans, and promote Republican candidates.
Sums the place up pretty well.
Yeh,remember all these Republicans wailing when George W INVADED Iraq.Dont remember?
Who do these hypocritical bastards think theyre fooling with their new found” inner peacenik selves?”
This is almost as good as Fits continuing charade that he ISNT a Republican!
So, you’re upset because conservatives don’t want to go to war?
No,I’m not upset at all.Just noting that until all you RightWing Extremists got all pissed off at Graham you were only TOO eager to support every damn foreign adventure of The “conservative” George W Bush.
Now all of a sudden you all are big peaceniks?
What will you be tomorrow?
Conservative “principles?”
Hahaha!
You’re pretty much like Fits anyway Pytel.Ive read your posts. You aint no Republican either are you?You just support them and vote for em but you aint one!
What a DAMN joke!
No sir. I am not a Repuklicrat or a Demlicrap. I am a Conservative.
Admittedly in my youth I was for some wars, running with the Republicrat crowd. Then I grew up. I protested against GB1 in LA. I was on TV for it when we protested in front of the VA in downtown LA.
Later I realized it wasn’t the military. It was the scumbags in Congress and the Scumbag parties that inhabit all branches of Government.
The last 2 elections I’ve voted for the evilest MF I can find. The Repuklicans are just slower at running this country into the ground. That generational change will make this a communist country. The only way to get people motivated enough in light of the indoctrination they have suffered at public education is to speed up the process. I believe in general terms that the Democraps are better suited to this task.
I believe that the people of this country will stand up and fight for the freedom of the citizens of These United States of America. I believe in old school conservative principles.
1. Outside of those delineations set forth in The Bible (Kill, Steal, Etc.) you may not like what the other guy is doing, but until it affects your freedoms you have no right to legislate against it. That’s called mob rule. When it does, you have the right of retribution against 1, Not against all.
2. The end user pays all taxes. No business should be allowed to collect taxes for the government at anytime in any fashion. This allows the scum that live in and around 1600 to hide the taxes that you pay. (The only mistake ol’ Georgy made when taxing the colonists).
Everything else falls in line behind that.
Admittedly I have not read your posts. Clearly the above two give me an idea where you stand. Please expand. What are your beliefs?
You teabaggers and pseudointellectuals are funny! South Carolina will most. certainly reelect Senator Graham because he is conservative and a patriot. Do you really think that your sappy and incorrect observations are going to convince us otherwise? Please go back to your funny cigarettes.
She is neither a conservative or a patriot.
Goodness. ……….somebody needs a xanax.
Are you aware that Xanax is spelled “G L O C K”?
……lousy speller……….bad attitude.
When will the Greenville GOP cnsure (maybe even rebuke) Graham for being such an idiot about Benghaaaaaaazzzzii?
http://www.rumproast.com/index.php/site/comments/are_the_benghazi_talking_points_quite_done_here/
Probably couldn’t get to it. Contracted Lou Gehrigs disease voting on all the others. Couldn’t lift their arms.
I love Lindsey. He can leave his shoes at my bedpost every night. He will have no prob getting re-elected, and if not, he opens a multimillion dollar a year law practice in DC or Greenville in a heartbeat. I think he is more smart, talented, and broad-minded than your average GOPer. You cannot touch him. He is a legend.
She’s a fag
