Ike warned us about this.
Also Barry Goldwater.
This is true but after he was part of it. Remember your history, it was Eisenhower along with Winston Churchill that orchestrated the overthrow of the democratically elected prime minister Mosaddegh in Iran in 1953 and installed the bloodthirsty Shah who was a puppet of western oil companies.
They don’t hate us because we’re free, they hate us because we wont leave them alone..
Ron, please run again for president.
Of course they won’t give up easily, vast sums of money are at stake in our (so-called) “defense” budget. Despite much posturing by “fiscal conservatives,” the recently passed budget bill increases the discretionary portion of the Pentagon’s pot of gold by $2.0 billion next year. The defense budget is simply a trough of public money at which contractors and their lobbyists gorge themselves. Under the current budget act, it’s “only” $670 billion.
When will this pathetic old man go away? This is just another sad
attempt to stay relevant. The vast majority of people, Republican and Democrat alike, think he’s a kook. Other than a few die-hard libertarians, nobody cares what he thinks.
While this article is by Ron Paul, it is not about Ron Paul. It is about the war lobby. You have failed to comment on the topic of this op-ed piece.
I like Ron Paul, but I wouldn’t seriously consider him for President. He’s too libertarian. Strong defense is a fundamental conservative principal. If you don’t support it, you’re a RINO. Period.
What do you like about him?
