So here’s the band … err, singer Passenger … with its/ his 2012 hit “Let Her Go” which we had never heard until this week.
Passenger began as a quartet/ quintet in Brighton and Hove, England in 2003 – releasing one album on an independent label in 2007. After the band broke up singer Michael David Rosenberg adopted his band’s name as his own – releasing three albums including 2012’s All The Little Lights.
“Let Her Go” hit the top of the charts in several countries – peaking at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100.
This year it received “best folk song” honors from the Independent Music Awards.
Passenger’s voice – like that of Matt Berninger of The National – is quite distinctive, albeit in a different range.
We dig it … and hope you do, too.

Good music and lyrics, but I hate it when I can’t tell if the vocalist has a pair of testicles or not.
