COLUMBIA, S.C. – Today, the South Carolina Club for Growth Foundation released its 2013 Legislative Scorecards, awarding its “Taxpayer Hero” award to seven Senators and eight Representatives based on their voting records since January 2013.
Scorecard ratings (here) are based on a wide range of economic and good government issues, with a maximum 100 points possible. Votes are assigned a value based on their relative importance. This year’s scorecard is made up of 17 Senate and 14 House roll call votes. Legislators with a score of “A” or “B+” earned the title of “Taxpayer Hero,” while those with a “D” or “F” earned the title of “Taxpayer Nightmare.”
Club Chairman Dave Ellison said, “It is important that South Carolinians are able to find out if promises made on the campaign trail are kept in the Statehouse. Since hardworking taxpayers can’t afford to watch every vote it is up to the South Carolina Club for Growth Foundation to shed some light. Every year we are contacted by constituents who are surprised that their legislator supports an issue at home but votes against it in Columbia.”
The votes on these scorecards were selected from over 1,500 votes taken since January 2013. They provide a snapshot of how legislators voted on crucial legislation that affects how South Carolinians live, work and play.
A pro-growth vote received the maximum number of points, while a vote against the pro-growth position received no points. In certain circumstances, points were deducted from legislators for changing a vote. If a legislator went on record as abstaining from a vote – due to a conflict of interest – that vote was not factored into their total score.

Any relation to the Hair Club for men?
Obviously in error. Sic Willie’s idol, carpetbagger Davis, is not listed as a hero.
Just FITS promoting another Howard Rich mouthpiece promoting, for the most part, a number of politicians paid for by none other than Howard Rich. Nothing to see here. Seriously, half of the above “heroes” are on here:

And they all have about as much credibility as the Flat Earth Society.
Not surprising that Bill Taylor got a high score. He is an excellent legislature.
I think it’s great when people put it on the record that they can’t think for themselves.
Seig heil!
That’s why they all get ALEC training.
What a joke! A partisan report aimed at partisans telling them they are right to be partisan. Of course after 30 years of these idiots being in charge our state is still last in everything.
We need to elect these same assholes just one more time for everything in our state to be conservative heaven. Nothing different, same schtick, same brain dead retards voting republican…again.
Fucking idiots!
Any why are these people relevant? Who gives fucking shit what they think??!! These pussies would shit their pants if confronted by real taxpayers!!
Oh and tell us how Katrina Shealy wants to raise taxes by requiring trailer inspections and registration!!
Average Dem score of 1, no bias here. I am amazed how important those “R” designations are in this fair state. Criminally abandoned state because he needed some Trail time……it’s OK he has an “R”.
SC Club for Teabaggers, South Carolina has had enough of this stupidity.
