SC Democrats: Much Love For Lindsey Graham

In case you haven’t noticed, the S.C. Democratic Party is going after “Republican” Gov. Nikki Haley … hard. Almost daily, the party sends out press releases criticizing Haley … usually with good reason.

But what about U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham?

What are Palmetto State Democrats doing to unseat him?

Remember, they recruited a big name opponent against Graham when he first ran for this office in 2002 … surely they are working up a similarly credible challenge to Graham now that his approval rating has slumped to an abysmal 37.4 percent.

Right? Right?

Um, no …

Not only has the S.C. Democratic Party uttered nary a peep of criticism against Graham, they are actively seeking to discredit the only Democratic candidate who has jumped into the race against him – Jay Stamper.

In fact this week party chairman Jamie Harrison launched into a social media tirade against Stamper.

“I have very little tolerance for folks who think they can come here to make us look like fools. Folks who are manipulative … folks who lie … folks who steal … folks who believe they are “smarter” and can take advantage of the trust of the good people of this state,” Harrison wrote on his Facebook page.

Wait … lying, stealing, abusing trust … how is that now a perfect description of both major parties in the Palmetto State?

Anyway, Harrison was just getting warmed up …

“I am a nice guy but when you mess with the people I love and the state that I hold dear to my heart then I become worse than a momma bear with her cubs,” he continued. “Well my friends someone has poked this sleeping grizzly … someone who is trying to manipulate and use people’s sentiments to divide the party that I am spending blood, sweat and tears to rebuild. I wont have it… I wont tolerate it and so Mr. Stamper you aren’t going to back down… well neither will I.”

Harrison then linked to a series of news articles which questioned the legitimacy of Stamper’s campaign.

FITS recently filed this report on Stamper.

Honestly? We’re not sure what to make of him …

What are we sure of? That Democrats aren’t going to mount anything even remotely resembling a serious challenge to Graham.

And why would they?

Graham is one of them …

Odd that he refers to himself as a “momma bear”.

If Lindsey came out of the closet, he’d have to change parties, and the Dems would welcome him with open arms.

Hardly – Southern Democrats would hate him just as much as they hate him now. The love for “alternative lifestyles” does not translate well south of the Mason-Dixon Line.

Interesting gamble. If Lindsey fails in the primary, they will not have a candidate to run against the republican, which most likely beaten up very badly by Lindsey’s money. Very interesting.

An enemy of my enemy is my friend. Why make Graham a friend of Republicans by vilifying him?

Common sense tells you Graham is a paid-for Republican. Why endear him to them by recognizing that fact openly?

Let the tea party kill him with a million paper cuts instead.

This Democrat isn’t going after Haley “hard”. Between that pizza face, those thunder thighs and those pleather hooker boots, there ain’t enough Cialis in Greenville County to make that happen.

Everyone knows Graham or whomever the Republicans nominate is going to win.

Nice logic. I guess we’re supposed to forget that Dems are running people in nearly every other statewide race?

They’re all gonna lose.

What has “Logic” got to do with South Carolina politics?

Graham is one of the democrats? You should have heard Senators Murray and Boxer rake him over the coals in the Senate today over the abortion bill.

Good for Graham. Dems will support him. He is normal, he is moderate, he is very intelligent. He is the best thing this state has going for it.

Why are folks obsessed with Senator Graham’s sexuality? Are you all wanting to have sex with him or something?
