Back in my day, marching bands didn’t get respect. Which was great for me since I like to fight.
Just between you and me… they still don’t. Band geeks all of them.
This was absolutely fantastic. In fairness you should have shown Penn State Blue Band, too. Those students spent many hours practicing to put performances on.and it is a shame that they are not shown on TV during the halftime. Why in the world should we have to listen and watch those egostical football experts explain the game when we’ve already watched it? Those guys love to look at themselves and hear their voices and we sick of them especially when we know our wonderful students are putting on great shows.
Good for you and other news outlets for reporting this story. I saw some of the OSU Band members on the Today show this morning and it was great. The technology behind the performances is fascinating. Thanks again.
Impressive drill, yes. “Best damn band”? Oh, hell, no.
“best damn white band”???
Back in my day of waiting football training table for Woody and Bo, the OSUMB had a baton that they used when playing from the sidelines. It was a dried bull penis, and I guess they got away with it because the OSUMB was all-male at the time. The smallest band member would jump on the shoulders of the biggest band member and wave the baton around at every OSU touchdown.
The “Script Ohio” still gives me a tingle. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ag1E-H9IzYc
Gotta love bull penises!
Now, if that velociraptor just ate that drum majorette, that would be icing on the cake!
So good it almost makes up for all the drunk-ass groups of Buckeye fans who murder “Hang On Sloopy” at karaoke shows. Almost. Still doesn’t make up for the way they drive, though.
Once again, Fits is breaking news…right after the Today show and Channel 4 local news in Charleston aired it.
