Hmmm, he hasn’t responded. Shame. Tell you what, why don’t YOU tell US what you think he should do. Be serious, many people grate on about their representatives and they should “do something” I, for one, would be interested in hearing what you think. Give it a serious answer, I do want to hear it.

Republican Party website, very simple compared to ACA website, crashed on its first day.

But wasn’t costing tax payers any money at all, wasn’t forcing them to buy a product that they didn’t want to buy and wasn’t bumping them up against a deadline that threatened to cost them even more money. AND the ACA web site is from the tech savvy EXPERTS of the Democrat party that basked in the glory of making fun of the GOP. Wonder how many of those dorks are laughing now. Oh, that’s right, it was written by those foreigners, they still get to laugh. The whole thing is a joke and we haven’t even seen the punch line yet, it’s a real KILLER (get it? Death panels? Well Sarah Palin got it, guess she isn’t quite as dumb as the kool aid drinkers in the Democrat party)

The Republicans are trying to judge the ability of its Tea Party wing to understand different words. I think the Colonel has it right, but Obamafail may work. It has Obama in it. Really they should just end all communications with “Obama bad.” It limits discussion of complex issues, that may have things like facts in them, or requires the Republicans to have an alternative that isn’t “let them die.” Obama bad is the answer to everything.

So Sanford says that the administration wants to push their own agenda regardless of the outcome and harm.
Well, the Tea Baggers did manage to shut down the government; but they failed to force America into credit default.
Is Sanford a case of the “pot calling the kettle black”?
Sanford serves his own agenda as does every other politician in Washington; that includes Democrats and Republicans. There is no one in Congress that is serving America. They are serving themselves!

Since there are only about 12M people nationwide buying their own insurance and SC has about 5M residents, I seriously doubt the number of people losing their insurance in SC, much less your district, is in any way, significant.

People should dump their crap policies and get a better policy for less money.

Yeah, right on…people shouldn’t ever be allowed to buy what they want, only what the government tells them they can buy. How the hell is corporate fascism ever going to work if consumers go around making decisions about how they spend their own money.

People should be allowed to buy what they want so long as they can prove they have the ability to pay for the care they need with the deductibles they have. The problem is hospitals and doctors are having to eat the deductibles on these high deductible policies and we are all having to pay for that.
At least when I am paying for things through taxes I know what I am paying for. If I have to pay a hospital more money because John Doe can’t come up with the $25,000 he owes. How can I even deal with that?
I understand the Republican answer is, let John die; but I’m not on board with that.

I would like you to show me even one example of a Republican saying “let John die” (It’s the Democrats that have the death panels.). As for the rest of your argument about the high deductibles and hospitals having to pay them because the people didn’t and all that I would say is entirely speculation on your part. Even if you read such baloney I would say it is speculation on that author’s part (NOTE: I said the author’s article was baloney, not you. You actually make some pretty good arguments though I still disagree with you). If people are getting policies with $25,000 deductibles it is likely because they couldn’t afford policies with lower deductibles. That was the beauty of the HSAs, deductibles in the $2,500 to $5,000 range made the catastrophic health policies much lower cost, people would have the money for the deductibles saved up and everyone was better. It put the people in charge of paying for medical services, not third parties, and let them decide when they went and to whom, all factors in lowering health care costs.

“I understand the Republican answer is, let John die; but I’m not on board with that”

Nobody begrudges you the opportunity to NOT let John die.

Some just have a problem with you taking other people’s money to save “John”.

Or, in other words, this notion that you have the right to be charitable with other people’s money.

Taking your righteousness further though, since you have a problem with people dying on the basis of what they can or can not afford, when do you plan on sending a significant portion of your wealth over to Africa to save all the dying children there?(who can’t even afford food).

Or better yet, maybe you can explain why healthcare is only a right for US citizens and not the world? (since you aren’t extolling the virtues of requiring US taxpayers to subsidize healthcare for the world)

Regardless of what your political affiliation is — I don’t know that Sanford would rank at the bottom of the barrel when compared to some other U.S. House members who represent SC. Our U.S. Reps. are listed in alphabetical order, and definitely not where I think they should rank.

Clyburn, Duncan, Gowdy, Mulvaney, Rice, Sanford, Wilson

Out of the next 70 days Congress will work 19 and is trying to pass a motion to cut back on those days…..and according to Sanford’s girlfriend at $177,000.00 a year he doesn’t even make enought money to help with his son’s schooling….Thanks for this report Congressman Sanford,we know it was hard for you to find the time with your hectic work load.
