A Hartsville, S.C. business owner (and chess enthusiast) is contemplating a Republican primary challenge against scandal-scarred S.C. Comptroller General Richard Eckstrom.

Michael Luppe confirmed his interest in the seat on Twitter.

“Yes, it’s true, my family and I are prayerfully considering this seat,” Luppe tweeted in response to inquiries from other Pee Dee politicos.

We know absolutely nothing about Luppe, but it’s hard to imagine anyone bringing less credibility to this office than Eckstrom – whose disastrously hypocritical personal life has been the source of constant FITS headline fodder.

Also Eckstrom has developed a bad habit of failing to do his job in recent years … which is due in no small part to the fact he is holding two statewide offices in flagrant violation of South Carolina’s constitutional prohibition against dual-office holding.

Please, let this be true. To rid ourselves of the backstabbing weasel known as Eckstrom would be the greatest blow for truth, justice and the American way in two decades.

He has moaned his way through state government for 20 years and watched as debt expanded and taxes were raised. On his watched we have been fleeced.
Nobody likes him. An honest man or woman can take him out and grab that seat on B and C Board.

A popular member of the House of Representatives is looking at the seat too. He is toast if someone runs against his record and his pathetic married life.

“A Hartsville, S.C. business owner (and chess enthusiast)…..”

Interesting. A office holder who think ahead about what’s next.

Rich Eckstrom is a self-absorbed do nothing that has ridden the taxpayer for a long time. Good riddance to him.
Richy boy, go live off your government retirement.

Let’s see here. Greasy hair. Leering at someone. Prayers offered about whether he should run.
Yep, that meets the criteria for a knuckle dragging right winger. Ickstrom must go, but can’t you right wingers offer someone better than this clown?

Let’s see here:

Bitter, angry person. Check
Condescending. Check
Mocks Prayer. Check
Focused on looks. Check.
Pathetic attempt to change letters in someone’s name to make it an insult. Check.

Yep, that meets the criteria for an obnoxious internet commentator. Congrats.

The Grand Old Party, unfortunately, has many mill stones around our necks. Richard Eckstrom, Mark Sanford, Bobby Harrell, Nikki Haley, Hugh Leatherman, Harvey and Bob Peeler, Brian White, Larry Martin just to name a few!
Can we, the Republican Party, find any decent statesmen, who are not self absorbed, self serving, conservative, competent to govern and not morally/ethicly challenged adulterers and liars?
Most of these people were originally Democrats and are, in fact, fiscally liberal big government, big spenders! They changed parties for their own poliical expediency, not due to a core belief of conservatism.
They preach their religious beliefs while carrying on with others wives, stealing from the tax payer and their campaign accounts, padding their wallets and bank accounts, at the expense of the taxpayer (hard working populace).
Government is out of control, being controlled by these self absorbed and egotistical personalities of dishonest and immoral character!
let’s send them a message and send them all home to live on their exorbitant retirements they’ve created for themselves, with our money!

If you think these people aren’t morons, as well as self serving and looking out for themselves and to hell with the people, you are a koolaid drinker my friend.

Come on now folks how many does it have to be explained to you? Positions in the militia do not count as dual office holding! Have you ever even bothered to read out state constitution?

Has FITSNEWS filed a complaint with the SC Ethics Commission over the dual office holding?
