A former U.S. Secret Service agent is unloading on the White House and Barack Obama – the president he used to protect.
Dan Bongino – a former member of the Secret Service’s elite Presidential Protection Division – says Obama “surrounded himself with acolytes who rarely speak truth to power.”
These acolytes apparently enjoyed boozing it up, too, acting as badly on overseas trips as the Secret Service agents who were involved in last year’s South American sex-and-prostitution scandal.
“The only bad behavior I ever witnessed at these events was by intoxicated White House staff,” Bongino wrote in his book, Life Inside The Bubble.
In fact Bongino – a 12-year Secret Service veteran who retired in 2011 – ripped Obama for his “harsh words” against the Secret Service.
“I felt the president’s harsh words were inappropriate,” he said. “He failed to acknowledge that this was was a pattern of behavior that was not uncommon among his own staff members within the White House.”
““I assure you, if the same level of investigative scrutiny was applied to the White House staff members conducting advance work as was applied to the Secret Service, the results would not be flattering,” Bongino added.
Bongino’s book comes out on November 19. To pre-order your copy from Amazon, click on the link below …

I’m not going to defend White House advance team misdeeds but it is worth pointing out that:
1) Dan Bongino is a Republican candidate for Congress from Baltimore
2) His brother, Joe Bongino, was fired from the Secret Service as a result of the Colombian scandal, the very same incident that Dan Bongino is squealing about
3) Proceeds from the book depend on copies sold, hence a pocket book reason to bitch
4) Last, but most importantly, it’s imperative to point out that Secret Service Members must be and are held to a higher standard than White House aides. I”m not giving either Bongino a pass on this one.
Again, the White House crowd now in place leaves a lot of room for improvement both in substance and decorum. It’s a motley crew of sycophantic underachievers as Bongino correctly, but improperly related.
I must say that your writings here today are the most eloquently and thoughtful passive/agressive defensive load of horse manure I have ever seen posted, here and elsewhere.
I have bad days. What’s your excuse, loser?
I dont hide it. I despise all libitards. I may form the ELHC.
You couldn’t form a ball of your own shit with both hands. Fucktard.
Walter – Thank you for that – oftentimes when I tune into this site I feel like I am in a very sad alternate universe – that line gave me the best laugh I have had in a long, long time. LMFAO
Those old Marine Corps demons come out to play sometimes. Really have no control over it. It just happens.
Yeah. Funny.
Let me think on that. Hmm… Despise. Loathe? Deplore? Hmm… Hate?
No, Despise. Mmmm hmmmm. Yep yep
Seems like pretty accurate stuff. So give us some specific criticisms, Frankie.
sweepin provides relevant context for Mr. Bongino’s comments. In short, Mr. Bongino is just another politician.
Sweepin dont provide nuttin but libitard love.
Fair enough, but wheres all that equal love for Oshitforbrains?
Sweepin……FYI..Your claim in your 2nd bullet point is totally FALSE. If you took the time to check the facts you would realize that after the investigation was complete, his brother was only 1 of TWO people that were cleared of any wrongdoing.
So Bongino is a Republican and running for congress. He would have to be a true professional to be on the President’s security team.
Sebelius was a Democrat Governor and is HHS Sec. Is she a true professional?
It means he is biased and you can’t trust his comments,
Does that comment hold true for Sebelius?
It means where’s all that love when yur smacking your gums about Oshitforbrains. Only Republicrats count?
Fits needs a new alias. The “Pytel” character” is getting old.
Anon and, therefore….
What does any of this have to do with Seblius?
About as much as him being a Republican.
Surely his identity as a Republican candidate is very relevant to his credibility when he is writing a book critical of a Democratic President.
If it’s about Republican and Democrat then it is very relevant to all their credibility.
I think it is very inappropriate for a former Secret Service Agent of any political ilk to discuss personal observations of his or hers of the President(s) or staff during their time period as an agent. It compromises the mission of future and current Secret Service personnel, in that protectees will want to be further away from their security due to tell all books that will be coming out next week/month year. I wish Dan Bongino well in his run for Congress, but also wish he hadn’t done this.
Disappointed. Former US Secret Service Agent.
BULLSHIT. BEHAVE LIKE A PRESIDENT BE TREATED PRESIDENTIAL.ASSHOLE
Frank, what does that even mean?
Military personnel, government personnel (contrary to POTUS directives since Lincoln) do not give up their right to an opinion. I’ll give all day long that the book is an opinion. When coupled with only the MSMs disdain, albight greatly muted (you must admit, it did not occur at all with the first black POTUS) with the current PUSS…. UHM, POTUS (cell phones) that there might be just the tiniest micro sliver of truth. Couple tbat with the greatest military brain drain in the history of the US…. well….
what someone alleges to have witnessed is not an opinion…have you considered medication Franklin?
Ha! Ha! Frankie boy has got it down pat, let the agent’s meet the President, see how they like him – THEN decide on the security matrix and duty of the agents not to disclose personal informaiton et cetera which they only learned because of their proxmity to the President and staff! That’s rich! you go Francis!
I’ve wondered lately the actual total manpower and manhours for the POTUS through antiquity. Hmmmm?
Frank, you get a thumbs up (without the asshole)…..
Fair Enough :)

Eh, I respect your opinion, but I don’t agree with it. I don’t think any military personnel or Secret Service agent has an obligation to keep their criticism to themselves once they retire. As long as they aren’t divulging something classified that could actually put someone in harm’s way, I don’t see any harm in it.
He has the right to freedom of speech, just as you have the freedom to judge him accordingly. That’s just the way this country was built.
Can’t agree with you on this one. It depends on the terms of your engagement. There are many positions in which people agree to keep their opinions to themselves for the good of the organization they work for. In this case the Secret Service. It is important for the President to have total confidence in his Secret Service staff. He needs to be comfortable with them being around all the time. If he is not, it impairs the ability of the agency to do its job.
Now if SS folks are not told this up front and in advance of their taking the job, then you are right. However, I believe being on the Presidents detail is a plum job, and I am willing to bet thy are told this, and I am willing to bet this gentleman has violated a code of conduct he voluntarily signed up for.
That does not mean he does not have the right to do just that, but it speaks to his character, and whether he is trustworthy. Of course its ok for people not to care about the character of an elected representative; and apparently many do not.
I hate liberals. They are like a stinky pile of dog shit found left behind on a city sidewalk.
Finally, some meaningful discourse from a true political philosophiser
“Did you bullshit today? Did you try to bullshit today? “
I don’t hate Tea Partiers, I pity them. I think most of them are just too dumb to figure out they are being played by people who know just how stupid they are and how to push all the right buttons; like Fox News, Rush, Beck, Drudge, the Koch Brothers, Karl Rove, Howard Rich, and the Republican Party. They really believe these people see them as something other than a guaranteed vote and a source of revenue, i.e. voting cattle. They let people like the Koch Brothers and Howard Rich convince Tea Partiers they owe them something, because they “produce jobs.”
I signed up once for Ann Coulter’s web site just to see what she was saying. I got a bunch of adds for crap to buy for when the economy collapses and we have urban war fare; books for sale on how to protect your assets from Obama; solicitations from the NRA, Pocket Constitutions and lapel pens for sale; etc. etc.
Heck, Tea Partiers are even so dumb, Karl Rove feels free to write a book saying what he is doing to manipulate them, and they still don’t catch on. “You can’t fix stupid.”
fu tkveni dedas sheveci, tkve kleebo!
Well, (potus) is sort of a bubblehead, so the book title is appropriate in a way ……..
If he’s got some good, solid dirt, then by all means divulge it and let’s deal with some of the staffers. However, I don’t see how this compares with the utter embarrassment that was the Secret Service scandal, or how Obama’s “harsh words” were not justified.
This seems like someone getting into trouble and then pointing at someone else and saying “Well he was doing it too!”
So there’s something Nikki and Barack have in common
Hmmm…how does a Secret Service agent “retire” after 12 years of service?
Federal government baby.
It doesn’t happen. He is not old enough and doesn’t have the necessary time in service. He may be an ex-Secret Service agent, but he is not “retired” unless it was due to disability. I don’t know if he said he was retired or that was just Sic’s characterization of his situation.
Most likely fired.
How about full disclosure? I looked him up. He’s a Republican candidate for the Sixth Congressional District seat in Maryland, a buddy of Allen West, and a frequent guest of Sean Hannity. He gets money from West’s Guardian Fund. He ran for the U.S. Senate last year and received a whopping 26% of the vote. Is it surprising he has bad things to say about Obama? Maybe just a little pandering for GOP bucks by smearing the president? I would take his book with about five pounds of salt.
Interesting note: You can tell he’s a Republican in Maryland. Look at his website. You can’t find any mention of his party affiliation. Just like a Dem in SC!
