WASHINGTON, DC – House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) released the following statement regarding the bipartisan Senate agreement to reopen the federal government and avoid a national default:

“The House has fought with everything it has to convince the president of the United States to engage in bipartisan negotiations aimed at addressing our country’s debt and providing fairness for the American people under ObamaCare. That fight will continue.

But blocking the bipartisan agreement reached today by the members of the Senate will not be a tactic for us. In addition to the risk of default, doing so would open the door for the Democratic majority in Washington to raise taxes again on the American people and undo the spending caps in the 2011 Budget Control Act without replacing them with better spending cuts.

With our nation’s economy still struggling under years of the president’s policies, raising taxes is not a viable option. Our drive to stop the train wreck that is the president’s health care law will continue.

We will rely on aggressive oversight that highlights the law’s massive flaws and smart, targeted strikes that split the legislative coalition the president has relied upon to force his health care law on the American people.”

The first part of your post is correct, at least when Obama’s balls aren’t slapping McCain and Graham in the ass.

The TEA party wants to bring this outrageous, excessive, spending to a halt. Boehner, Graham, McCain, etc are NOT TEA party.

… What a hat trick by the Conservitards: 40 ill-fated votes to repeal Obamacare, a SCOTUS decision that didn’t end in their favor and a waste-of-time Government Shutdown stunt.

Losers.

By legislative coalition I assume he is referring to a majority of both houses of Congress?

John Boehne; the House’s version of Lindsey Graham or John McCain, only with more power.

Can the House PLEASE choose a new leader?

I just find it hard to believe that Will hasn’t reported on Trey-Trey wagging the dog in the hearings about the Park Service shutting down the war memorial. Come on, Will- it’s almost like young Congressman Gowdy laid that one out there just for you. Are you losing your edge, or what?

Thus begins the “pointless presidency” Both groups of idiots will spend the rest of President Obama’s term arguing over budgeting and nothing else will be accomplished – sound like a great plan to me.

Dont’ forget the ticking clock on future liabilities or the fact they must continue artificially low interest rates to both keep the interest rates low and meet the perpetual deficit spending.

If they lose control of interest rates the party comes to an end rather abruptly.

Republican strategist Mike Murphy chided what he called “the stupid wing of the Republican Party.”

“There’s tension and there ought to be a questioning of whether we ought to listen to such bad advice,” Murphy said when asked about the influence of conservative groups. “We took a huge brand hit. It’s self-inflicted. … I’m glad there are no elections tomorrow.”

The lunatic is on the grass.
