and the panel was? was it a removable panel for maintenance access? If so, who last removed and replaced it? What procedures did they follow? Who inspected the work? Sic Willie is so anxious to skewer Boeing (and Haley) that he does zero investigation.

I warned you all about this. These things will continue to happen until the N. Charleston plant is unionized. This is union subversion. I have seen it many times.. but usually in New Jersey, associated with a few people of Sicilian ancestry.

Give it a rest Will. Stuff falls off airplanes all the time, even large panels:

August – Couple sues Oxford Aviation, claim part of plane’s tail fell off plane during flight: http://bangordailynews.com/2013/08/31/news/lewiston-auburn/couple-sues-oxford-aviation-claim-part-of-planes-tail-fell-off-plane-during-flight/

March – Canopy and body fell from plane: http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/03/30/body-fell-plane-found/2038495/

September – “Refrigerator Sized” Metal panel that apparently fell off airplane lands in neighbourhood south of Seattle: http://news.yahoo.com/metal-panel-apparently-fell-off-airplane-lands-neighbourhood-214634217.html

’08 – Engine fell off Mexican plane before crash, official says: http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/americas/11/08/mexico.crash/index.html

The Dream Liner is new, maintenance people are still learning proper procedure – shit happens. Be glad it was an innocuous composite piece, a nuclear bomb accidently fell from another Boeing product, the B-47, over Mars Bluff, SC: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mars_Bluff%2C_South_Carolina
