Boeing’s Dreamliner is having issues again … although thankfully this time they have nothing to do with the planes catching on fire.

According to The (Charleston, S.C.) Post and Courier – a.k.a. The Boeing Bugle – the company’s South Carolina Dreamliner operations have been adversely impacted by the partial shutdown of the federal government that began October 1.

What’s the deal? Well apparently the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) staffers who certify new planes were not among the 25 percent of the non-military workforce deemed “essential.” That means new planes assembled at the company’s North Charleston manufacturing facility can’t be cleared for flight.

Also there’s a hang-up with Boeing’s latest taxpayer-subsidized land grab at the Charleston International Airport.

“The $13.8 million deal is awaiting approval from the Federal Aviation Administration, and it requires a posting in the Federal Register,” the paper reports. “All the paperwork is in, but the posting has been caught up in the three-day shutdown, county airports director Paul Campbell said Thursday.”

Ah yes … Paul Campbell, part-time Senator.

Obviously we don’t plan on shedding tears for Boeing – a company has made its living fleecing state and national taxpayers. In fact we view its shutdown-related issues as mildly amusing – if for no other reason than company cheerleader-in-chief Nikki “Mack Daddy Planes” Haley can’t really do much whining about the delays.

Okay Will, back off the *@&# airplane already.

EVERY new plane ever built has had teething pains – from Kitty Hawk to the Skunk Works in Palmdale, it takes time to get it right.

The UH-60 Blackhawk got the name “Crashhawk” because of the frequency of it’s mishaps – it is now the workhorse of our rotary wing fleet and you rarely hear of a crash or a shoot down. The MV-22 had similar issues. The DeHavilland Comet fell out of the sky because incorrectly designed windows allowed the structure to fail. if you wonder why airplanes have rounded windows, Google “DeHavilland Comet Crashes”.

A system as complex as the 787, the most advanced civilian aircraft in the world, will take a while to perfect – the issues it has had so far are very minor in the grand scheme of things.

The Colonel,

Again I tell you. Please stop trying to skewer Will’s little stories. Facts and truth are not welcome here. Its unfair and imbalanced, remember? Now if Haley had opposed the Boeing deal, then Will would have been all for it.

FITS shows his ignorance of business matters everytime he writes of it.

Any detour from posts of titillating sexual inuendo or feigned indignation of political scandal and intrigue is a bridge too far for “The Founding Editor.”

Majority of his posts fall in the tilting at windmills category.

I suspect even a burned-out cabin light would be enough to ignite a 787 media frenzy. People are fed-up with the media microscope on Boeing’s latest plane. Find something newsworthy to report on

Dear CEO of Boeing……(yes YOU)

We know that you have so much going on that you could care less about Wil FOlks little website and sling shot. We highly suggest that you re-think about the values of observing the “little things” that have huge impact to the bottom line. You do understand just how many ARABS, Muslims, Jews, Christians, and Atheists are going to be flying in your planes don’t you. What happens when all those flyers realize that they are slaves to the foreign OIL that is being used in the JET FUEL…? What happens when all those flyers realize the JET Fuel is what all those wars are being fought for..? What happens when these FLYERS realize that having a “constructive” war is more profitable to their PENSIONS than a “destructive” war is…?

We know that you won’t read this article but maybe one of your WORKERS or contractors will understand how to send this article to your secretary to read. Better yet, your union officials and your Board of Directors members. “Mr. Boeing” if you think Pope Francis has caused a stir in the Catholic Church and Baptist Church only…..YOU need to think again.

Mr CEO of BOEING…….how smart do you think the wives of Wil Folks and Rush Limbaugh are….?

Boeing incentives are not about the airplanes or jobs. It is about real estate that is owned by a powerful collation of “the privileged class.” Unlike most SC backroom deals he word is out on this one. Watching this one is going to be juicy!
