Clemson University’s big showdown against ACC rival Florida State this month will be a “breast cancer awareness game,” Tigers’ head coach Dabo Swinney announced this week.
That means you might see some some pink interspersed with No. 3 Clemson’s traditional orange and white.
Swinney and his wife, Kathleen, made the announcement on behalf of their “All-In Foundation,” which is selling commemorative pins in an effort to raise funds for cancer research.
“All of the funds from our annual Ladies Clinic and the sale of the Breast Cancer Awareness Tiger Paw pins will go directly to support breast cancer research at Clemson and Anderson Universities, as well as to the St. Francis Hospital Mobile Mammography Unit which provides screening services throughout the Upstate,” Kathleen “Kat” Swinney said.
Clemson lost to then No. 4 Florida State 49-37 last September in Tallahassee – costing the Tigers a shot at their second straight ACC championship.
Swinney’s team (4-0, 2-0 ACC) plays on the road against Syracuse and at home against Boston College before hosting the eighth-ranked Seminoles (4-0, 2-0 ACC) – who face No. 25 Maryland next week at home before enjoying a bye on October 12.

Clemson versus Florida State, now THAT will be a great game.
A very good cause. Clemson should be wearing pink pants (panties?)……
I’m sure you or your “life partner” have plenty to loan out….
She has a variety of colors and styles for any occasion, and that keeps Shifty interested and in anticipatory suspense. She also keeps extras in both cars.
That is so inspiring that I’m going to offer free breast exams to all Clemson and FSU cheerleaders. Anything to save the tatas.
