South Carolina’s scores on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) were released earlier this week and as usual the news was not good …
Students at government-run schools in the Palmetto State continue to lag well behind their peers – trailing the national average by 17 points in critical reading, 30 points in math and 28 points in writing. The sad part? These numbers look positively sterling compared to the SAT performance of South Carolina’s black student population – which is almost exclusively housed in failing or below average government-run school districts (ed by corrupt black leaders, in many cases).
According to the latest SAT data, black students in South Carolina scored a 408 in critical reading (71 points below the state’s mean score), 418 in math (66 points below the state’s mean score) and 384 in writing (76 points below the state’s mean score).
Yeah … OUCH.
Ready for the irony? Black leaders in the S.C. General Assembly are the ones fighting aggressively to keep lower-income South Carolina school children trapped in the schools producing these abysmal results.
Not only did black leaders oppose universal choice legislation (helping kill it by one vote in the S.C. House of Representatives in 2012), they fought against the adoption of small-scale special needs scholarships.
In fact they are still fighting against those scholarships … which were approved as part of the FY 2012-13 state budget.
Astounding, huh?
Black school children are being left behind in South Carolina government-run schools by the tens of thousands. And black leaders are doing absolutely nothing about it.
It’s time for that to change …

White students are being held back by these animals. There are numerous studies showing that blacks have a lower IQ than the rest of the population.
Segregation will fix SC schools. It worked for 400 years. The last 50 years of desegregation has been a disaster.
I strongly disagree with everything you said except the part about the IQ scores. That’s the elephant in the room that nobody wants to talk about — but it is the most significant reason for these results. When you combine that with a culture that often disrespects academic achievement, you get the results that you see above.
Would you send your children to a school where the majority of students were black? I hope not. That would be child abuse.
And if your agree about the IQ scores, why don’t you agree that white students (who have higher IQs) are held back by blacks? Curriculums have to be “dumbed down” for the low IQ blacks. This keeps white students from reaching their full potential.
I’m going to have a hard time agreeing with much of what you say when you call blacks “animals” that need to be segregated from white people — as if your race is the only determining factor in the quality of the person. I would prefer that schools have realistic programs where some are trained to learn trades, while others are placed in more advanced classes. If you perform well, you move up. If you don’t, then they should still be educated but the goals should be adjusted accordingly.
Schlomo, understand this, you racist piece of excrement. It is readily apparent from your comments and your phraseology that you need a lesson in the “everything is relative” principle. You are certainly wrong in your basic premise, but more importantly, I wouldn’t want my kids in school with you. There is no doubt you would dumb down their experience.
Sometimes the truth hurts doesn’t it. Ask any public school teacher that you know what would greatly improve their classroom, kicking lazy, sleeping in class black kids out would be right up there.

Black legislators in South Carolina are Uncle Toms. Instead of working to lift up their constituents to a higher quality of life, they all keep their heads down, work with white legislators to pass white legislators’ agendas, and really have no agenda of their own. The Legislative Black Caucus is a do-nothing organization, and its members’ most pressing interest is not constituents but rather re-election. Gilda Cobb-Hunter is a nice lady on the LBC but is typical of LBC members. She derives her (hefty) income from a state government social program. The blacks in South Carolina haven’t figured this out yet.

I graduated from Irmo a little over 20 years ago. Back then it was something to be proud of. I will admit that I did graduate in the bottom quarter of my class, but back then I really didn’t give a shit about grades.
Black or white, all legislators are equally uncaring to their citizens, black or white. That being said, saying private schooling scams would help minority students is ignoring many things, such as whether or not private schools would take them in, if they would do any better of a job than public schools, or if it would even matter if they did. There’s also the matter of problems that come with kids growing up in poverty, in bad homes, in bad neighborhoods, etc., which often times minority children are more prone to experience.
Whether you believe in “school choice” or not, there’s no way in hell private schooling can make up for what a kid experiences outside of the schooling itself. Minority or not, disadvantaged kids need more than just a school book that prints a better explanation of the second amendment, or a curriculum that isn’t administered by a government institution.

It is not in their best interests
Black children are at an extreme disadvantage – they are born into black families. That means, on average, they will have no father. Often they will be the daughter of a daughter of a daughter of a baby momma, and Gramama will raise them, while mamma is off creating their siblings. Their peers will think one of her is an animal, generally suited only for mating, perhaps to be shared with the boys in her peer group. The boys, for their part will see weakness in learning of a wider world, inventing their own language which sets them even further apart from that world which, at least, would have given them a chance at honest riches and advancement.
These are learned things. Call them “cultural.” But they are also protected things. Protected by elected officials who have made guilt their greatest weapon. And what will be their legacy? Bodies, mostly. Bodies of murder, rape, forgetfulness, vendetta, anger, and hatred.
And the politicians will continue to be re-elected, and their constituents will continue to live in their slough of despond. Only there will be no progress, because there will be no pilgrims – just constituents.

Ignorance vs Stupidity
The intrinsic difference is that ignorance simply implies lack of awareness about something, while stupidity denotes the inability of a person to understand something due to insufficient intelligence, thus leading to the misinterpretation of a fact.
Show me a black child raised by caring parents with good jobs that do not fall for the pipe or the lottery (like many other poor folks) and I’ll show you a kid with a good IQ. The smartest teacher I ever had was black and was a teacher of the year in NC (chemistry). Look at your local crack lord, he or she had the brains to figure out how to survive in a bad enviroment. If we subscribe to common wingnut theory Asians beat everyone out. Don’t knock any population segment until you live in their shoes (for 100s of years).
You, of course, realize that your example indicates that IQ is (at least partly) heritable.

Generally, “a black child raised by caring parents with good jobs” is being raised by two black parents who have comparatively higher IQs than their counterparts, and they have passed their genes to their child. There is a reason the parents have those good jobs.
There are blacks with high IQs, and your teacher was obviously one of them, but they are the exception to the general rule. Black americans have an average IQ of 85 compared to 100 for whites. In studies with adopted children of different races raised by white middle-class families, the average IQ for both black and white kids is bumped up about 4-5 points, but the spread between black and white stays the same.
