Cruz already threw the burden of this on the House by admitting he knew it stood no chance in the Senate, basically saying it was all up to the House to fight it. He’s pissed off a lot of people in his own party with that one.

They will never defund Obamacare. They will either shut down government trying (and piss off a majority of Americans if most polls are to be believed), or they will give in and face a reprisal from part of their own base. The funny thing is, Cruz sees the writing on the wall and wants to make sure his hands are clean. He’s like a modern-day Pontius Pilate.

2014 elections may very well turn out to be a bloodbath.

It hasn’t killed any jobs. Did you know that Old MacDonald was a really bad speller?

Ted Cruz is a fraud. He’s been leading conservatives to believe that he’ll bring the government to its knees, unlike those “squishes” who want to “fund” Obamacare. Since he’s not been able to 1) get the idea out of the toilet in the polls, and 2) convince fellow GOPers, that left one option: filibuster the bitch. But he’s not. Why? Wouldn’t do any good. Which is the same “surrender” argument GOP leaders have been making for months.

He won’t filibuster too because a shutdown would be HIS fault, and he’s either too nutless to do it or he never planned to the whole time. Either way, big talk, no action when it counts. FRAUD.

Obamacare was debated for 18 months, passed in the House, passed in the Senate and passed in the Supreme Court…..it’s here. Maybe it will work, maybe it won’t but it is least it’s an attempt to make things better. Now if Cruz and his posse of idiots will get their heads out off their asses and get out of the way we’ll move along….. Do the Republicans even know that Cruz is using them ?

If O- care is such a good thing, why did the Pres and Congress exempt themselves? I guess we aren’t all equal anymore before the law…

They are not exempt from the law, they just have an employer who provides them with free health care. That would be you and me. Republicans hate all government health care except their own.

I agree that the best plan would be to give all of us the health care plan congress and the President has. But Republicans won’t agree to that either.

So are the Democrats going to go with a separate provider or use the ones the Republicans use?

SCALIA FORMS SEARCH COMMITTEE FOR NEW POPE

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report) — Saying he was “sorry it had to come to this,” Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia said today that he was forming an “independent search committee” to select a new Pope.

The visibly upset jurist appeared at a press conference with the sole other member of the newly formed search committee, Justice Clarence Thomas.

Justice Scalia said he had “no other alternative” but to pick a new Pope himself after reading what he called a “disturbing” interview with Pope Francis today: “The Pope said he doesn’t want to speak out against abortion and gay marriage. Well, sorry, my friend, but that’s the entire job description. You should have thought of that before you let them blow that white smoke in Rome.”

Justice Scalia acknowledged that only the College of Cardinals has the legal authority to choose a Pope, but added, “Quite frankly, those jokers got us into this mess. Right, Clarence?”

Justice Thomas had no comment.

McCain Dares Putin to Tear Down Berlin Wall

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report) — In a sharply critical op-ed piece for the Russian Web site Pravda, Sen. John McCain (R-Arizona) called Russian President Vladimir Putin “a brutal, freedom-hating tyrant” and challenged Mr. Putin to tear down the Berlin Wall.

“The Wall stands as a symbol of your failed, repressive system,” Sen. McCain said. “Until you tear it down, the world will see you and your Soviet goons for what you are: relics destined for the dustbin of history.”

“Mr. Putin, tear down that wall,” Sen. McCain’s editorial pointedly concluded.

Several hours after the article was published, the Russian Federation issued a terse statement, indicating that the Berlin Wall had been torn down.

Responding to the Russian statement, Sen. McCain told reporters, “This shows what you can achieve when you talk tough with Putin. If only President Obama realized that.”

Sen. McCain added that he was “delighted” by the response to his Pravda editorial and was already writing a new one, urging Mr. Putin to remove his missiles from Cuba.

I’m so sorry the President will not get to read your comments. Unfortunately, his head is stuck so far up his own ass, he doesn’t get enough light to read by.

Oh, and McCain is douche.

Harry Reid needs to be put on a train to Paris. It should be noted that there is no rail that goes to Paris and that he might possibly drown were that to happen.

I don’t like Obamacare, but the idea of defunding it has been just a crazy idea by Lee and Cruz to make themselves look good politically. Even if the government shuts down, most of Obamacare cannot be defunded. It is mandatory spending not discretionary spending. Now, if they refuse to raise the debt ceiling that will eventually stop Obamacare, but it will be chaos.
